$6.98 or $7.00 Hmmmmm ..... thats okay.
I went to these guys Myspace to take a listen for myself as not to judge on word of mouth. The music...meh... nothing special. not alot of "suckage" or "amazing" just, "meh". The pictures however....the only thing more sickening than the "cry for pre-teens" image that these poseurs shred is the hundreds of comments under their pictures left by kids who think their schtick is actually music.

Just out of curiosity, what's been "hand fed to them"? They don't have a platinum record and they aren't selling out arena's... it's not like they're an enormously successful band yet. The only thing that's been fed to them was money to record an album... isn't that the case with every band on every label?

Also, since when is a band's "musicianship" measured by how much has been "hand fed to them"?

I just listened to the sampler on their myspace...and wow that is the epitome of bland, shitty music. How the hell did this band get signed?

because they are easy to market. and besides they got huge on the purevolume battle of the bands, im pretty sure they were somewhere in the top 6. and before everyone on the forum decided they dont like the band because nobody else on teh forum does, everyone used to like it.

thank god someone who works for this site has common sense(you & rohan are both awesome) I don't understand why people bash them so bad. Let them do their thing. All of you call yourselves fans of music. You should appreciate ALL music, I'm not saying you have to like it, god knows i dont like every bit of music out there, but still, for someone to get on a stage and play their hearts out, that really says something. I love Cute. They've been nothing but absolutely wonderful to me and I hope they take off like Panic! & FOB.

Just cause they haven't been around for years doesn't mean shit. There's plenty of other bands that have gotten signed like that, i mean damn, look at a panic!
whatever, in any case, best of luck boys.

p.s. thanks for giving me credit for this Frank.

Ok, so I have yet to take part in this thing because the last time I said anything negative about a band, I got a bunch of replies from people saying they hated my band, which I feel is pretty irrelevant from the matter. But I have to jump in to this ring. I started reading this post and then went to the CIWWAF myspace to listen. And honestly they have to be one of the worst bands ever to have recieved this much attention. I'm not just saying that to be cool or because I'm jealous, but their music, lyrics, and performances are mediocre and unimpressive. Maybe they will get better with time, but this new album is going to make far less than a splash in the musical ocean. And the singer is really annoying.

album cover is nasty.

im glad cd prices have recently come down at certain stores, but all we need now is for good bands to be cheaper, or maybe cheap bands to become more good. underoath is a good deal for 8 bucks, so fuck these guys.

whenever i speak out against a band i'm usually the odd-man out a.k.a. flamebait. for once, i'm in my element; so many people hate this band. and rightly so. b-b-b-b-b-b-bland.

i still think 8 bucks is too much for a cd. i think 5 is fair for a cd, 10 for a dvd. especially now that hddvd and bluray are on the horizon, reaching straight for our pockets. they should undercut the hd competition, thus maintaining their marketshare until the hd media prices drop.

I got an advance copy a few days ago and it is such a solid pop record. Their are a few duds that are just filler, but the rest of the songs are very marketable pop tracks. They have an image, they have a following, and they have easy lyrics. I don't mean easy to write or predictable, but easy to remember. I found myself singing the lyrics after the 3rd listen or so. Congrats to some hometown boys living their dream.

PS. also listen to Damiera, best band in Buffalo.

Ehhh...I used to like this band. When I listened to "Lyrical Lies", I thought it was a fairly good song, and I was really looking forward to what else was on this CD. After listening to thier new song and the sampler, I probably won't be picking this up...which is sad, because I pick up just about every FBR CD.

06/20/06, 06:53 AM
personally, i think this is a pretty decent album. i'm not going to jump on the bandwagon here just bashing them over and over again, not only is it mostly ignorant comments, and old by now. but i think they deserve what they have, there are so many other bands that have gotten huge, or alot of exposure after a short amount of time, two fbr bands in particular are panic and paramore (which i think were only together for about a year and half or 2), and isn't that the goal for most bands, to get their name out there? so i don't see what's so wrong with that.

Wow, this band gets a lot more hatred than it deserves. I'm wondering how that came about. =P

Sure, they're nothing is special, but neither are plenty of bands that people on this site consider amazing. For the low price i'm planning on checking it out. So far I really like some of the tracks. "The Curse of Curves" is an awesome pop song, and some of the other ones have been pretty good.

Saying these guys aren't talented is ridiculous. A shitload of the music on this site consists of simple power-chords that I could teach my little sister how to play. CIWAFF is no different, but also no worse.

Hey douchebag, how about you shut the hell up and don't read news about bands you think are "shitty", or even better, add them to your ignore list.

This is why I stay out of the news forums.

Congratulations assholes.

I think I'm picking this up because it's catchy and I'm sick of the shit they get for no reason at all. Plus, $7 for a c.d. is awesome. That's cheaper than a good frisbee, by the way.

The album cover for this CD gets my vote for the worst album cover ever.

So I liked the samples on myspace and purevolume. I listened to this CD yesturday and I couldn't even listen after 20 minutes. Why? The lyrics, they are terrible. The music may be jolly and fun but the words are 5th grade poetry and I would feel ashamed just to sing along to this. This is an album for 12 and 13 year olds plain and simple. Its one tiny step above kidz bop because they write their own songs. Oh and they say shit in one song just so those 13 year olds feel rebelious. If you are over 16 years old stay away from this you can do much better.

if there are other $7 cds at target i'll spend my money on those.. like i've save said before, nice background music but otherwise, eh.

Well said. I actually found it at my Besy Buy and am looking forward to listening to it. But then again, the majority of what I listen to is pop music.
