i have this movie on vhs, which dates me a little bit i guess. i love it though, if the wonders did a one night only show anywhere within 10 hours of me i would be there in a heartbeat. i actually felt bad for them at the end. great, great movie.

It's a good pop album, a little cliche, but solid throughout. It's the first pop album since the last Kelly Clarkson one that I can listen to the whole way through

I personally love this movie, it's probably my favorite. I'm a big Tom Hanks fan and Steve Zahn is hilarious in this movie. Not to mention the actors actually sang and played their own instruments in the film. My best friends and I can quote this movie front to back. Bought the special edition the other day, it has 45 minutes of extra footage and is pretty sweet. Any other fans on here?

Couple things you might not know about this movie:

- The bass player doesn't have a name.

- Adam from Fountains of Wayne wrote the title track.

- There's a short scene where The Wonders are in a radio station (not the Cap Geech part) only to say 'Hey' while the DJ does all the talking. That DJ is Paul Fieg, co-creator of Freaks and Geeks and producer of several Office/30 Rock/Arrested Development episodes. And he's the skinny counselor in Heavyweights.

I do. Some of the scenes not in the original are great! Like when Guy walks in on TB Player and the chick in the hotel room... It's also crazy that Tom Hanks was supposed to be gay in this movie, but you'd never know from watching the original version.

yes! there's a ton of added footage in the director's cut. you get to see a lot more of tina and there's a whole new swing to mr. white...plus a bunch of stuff that really adds depth the storyline, in my opinion.
