Jered Weaver, WTF?

So, someone talked about him here a month or so ago. I picked him up on my fantasy team. He was tearing it up at 4-0.

Then for some reason LAA decides to demote him, and now:

Jun 19 Greg Wagner, of LosAngeles.Angels.MLB.com, reports Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim SP Jered Weaver allowed five runs (four earned) over five innings, including three home runs, in a start for Triple-A Salt Lake Sunday, June 18.

Why was he sent down? And what is with this outing? The fuck are the Angels doing?

im pissed too, i had him on my main fantasy team. had to drop him, and picked up john patterson since hes coming back this weekend

I think since B. Colon is coming back and since the angels pitching is pretty much set with lackey, escobar, santana, and sadly they are spending too much on jeff weaver that they cant put him in the bullpen. Jared weaver is gonna be f'n good though.

they wont send jeff weaver to the bullpen because it will take down his trade value, and they want to see what they have in Colon for now.

Jeff Weaver is the only one who will be traded, but Ervin Santana has been in numerous rumors. Yeah Jered was ripping it up, I had to drop him in all the leagues I was in.

That's a big trade, for both teams. It gives the D-Rays a great young pitching 1 & 2(Kazmir and Santana), and the Angels would get protection for Vlad in their lineup.

Its a shame Jered got sent down when he was acheiving so much, but you can't demote Jeff because in the future Jereds going to be vital to the team and who knows how he'd react if he was in the big leagues while his big brother suffered the humiliation of being demoted.

I think TB would be foolish to make that move. If anything, try and trade Gomes for Santana. I still think even that's a little too much for Ervin.

yeah, Peter Gammons was talking about it during the Braves/Red Sox game on ESPN sunday, i think it was.

I thought it was a stupid move as well. And even one for the Angels as that would just be a guy to get on base for Vlad, not a guy that will protect him in the lineup, which they need more, in my opinion.
