Boston/New York band OF THE OPERA (http://www.myspace.com/oftheopera) needs a new committed professional drummer. Stylistic comparisons have included: New Order, Depeche Mode, The Postal Service, The Notwist, The Faint, etc.
The project began in Chicago, has since claimed Boston as its rehearsal ground, and splits its time playing shows in both Boston and New York City. One full length has been recorded and released, and a 5 song EP is in its final stages to be shopped to a select handful of interested labels & management companies.
We’re currently booking ourselves out for the next few months and have SXSW and other industry showcases on the horizon.
Ideal candidates should possess the following:
-Ability to play to a click track
-Familiarity with Logic’s Mainstage 2
-Ability to practice in Allston MA AT LEAST twice weekly
-Professional drum set up
-Prior touring experience
-Flexible schedule (i.e. not in school full time with an accommodating job)
-21+
-Style conscious
The above aren’t mandates, but will help us out immensely when we start holding auditions.
We have a practice space, a conversion van, and enough connections to make this a full time job with the right amount of work and dedication.
