Bishop is undoubtedly the most underrated X-Man. Seriously.

Oh yeah? I can't remember Bishop very well. I always thought Beast was pretty dope.

Henry McCoy is a fantastic character, but every writer utilizes him. He's the token "poised, civilized, genius whose beastly aesthetic and gentlemanly demeanor contrast" and make for good storytelling elements and humor. Bishop wasn't used for years, then in a crossover two years ago, they turn him into a pseudo-villain and never explain it again. Lame. Guy's better than Cable. Fuck Cable.

While we're talking about X-Men, I've always been really intrigued by Rogue, with her whole inability to make skin contact with others. (I'm sadly not familiar with any good stories involving her, though. Todd, this is your cue to somehow whip up a sweet list of excellent recommendations, lol.) She's not really underrated, but she's one of my favorites.

Yeah.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lucas_Bishop

Bishop was a member of Xavier's Security Enforcers (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xavier%27s_Security_Enforcers) (initially called the Xavier School Enforcers), a mutant (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mutant_%28Marvel_Comics%29) police (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Police) force from a dystopian (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dystopia) future of the Marvel Universe (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marvel_Universe). He traveled to the 20th century and joined the X-Men, a team he knew only as legends. A brash antihero (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antihero), he had difficulty adjusting to the norms of the time period. After years of appearing as a member of the team, Bishop became portrayed as one of the X-Men's main antagonists.

Each mutant's mutation is different. Much like you cannot stop using your eyes unless you close your eyelids, Scott cannot stop projecting his concussive blasts without closing his eyes.

His brother Alex (Havok) cannot control his Plasma blasts without a specialized suit that regulates it. Rogue cannot control her leach-esque power-absorption powers without covering her skin, etc.

Rogue's always been under-written. She just blended into the background when Claremont introduced her in the '80s (originally as a villain and then as a reformed X-Man. She only became interesting recently when she became team leader of one of the splinter X-Men groups in 2006. For a year, she was a fantastic, brooding heroine, written by Mike Carey, but then the team was embroiled in a crossover that left Rogue mortally wounded. Now she's a bit character. Pity.

I guess i knew that. that would really suck. but his glasses are pretty cool, so i guess it would be worth it.

My friend bought me a Marvel T-shirt for my birthday last year along with some DC Villains. It has X-men on it, but also some random heroes I've never seen/heard of.

I hope Jean-Grey is reading my thoughts right now.

And when I just barely died my hair brown, the dye was a dark blue color and my hair was way long. So while it was setting, it made my hair look like Wolverine. I stuck out my middle three fingers and walked around the house threatening random objects in a gruff voice.

None of them mess with me anymore.
