Is "Interesting" The Right Word?

I'm not one to really judge bands' images too heavily, but Romak And The Space Pirates (http://www.myspace.com/romakandthespacepirates) is quite possibly the most interesting looking band I've ever seen in my entire life (click the link and scroll down for headshots).

My comment wasn't even about you. I was just pointing out how funny it was that someone on this site finds it "interesting" that a band dresses dumb. Its like someone on a Klu Klux Klan site linking to a Nazi site and saying "wow, what a bunch of irrational nut cases!"

But I think this extends far beyond "dumb", I just think it's super odd and strange. I've never seen a band dress like they're straight out of a Lucky Charms commercial. I'm not "calling them out", just pointing it out and pondering. I also think this look stretches far beyond the "scene makeup" look that bands like AFI and My Chemical Romance rock.

Though they do look weird, it is a great point that this is found "interesting" or whatever word you'd like to attach when I'm pretty sure i could put a picture of them and a picture of Lost Prophets or some other band from the "scene" against it and find THEY look just as "interesting". Troll around myspace and you'll find a never ending supply of guys wearing their sisters pants doused in more MAC than my girlfriend. The only difference is that one style is ubiquitous currently and the other is somewhat original and against the grain. .. PS the music isn't my thing in the slightest,
