Even if you hate this list so much that you want to injure me, you at least got to give credit for the tiny bit of diversity, right? I mean, this is probably the first time the words "John Mayer" and We the Kings" are both included in the same sentence together. Not only that, but now they're in the same LIST. Booya. Anyway, if you'd like to check out some of the albums above, click on them to head to their lovely Amazon page. Here's to 2010 to bring me more three chord pop-punk!

Honorable Mentions
Morrissey - Years of Refusal
Fact - Fact
Owl City - Ocean Eyes

Loved all of these but not as much as the 30 listed above. Imagine a supergroup with all these artists though, eh?

These four bands released albums that weren't necessarily bad, but just really forgettable. They never even crossed my mind while making this list until I made this category.

Band of the Year

Blink-182 for their awesome comeback and Anberlin for their impressive radio takeover.

05) October Nites

01) Kelly Clarkson - Already Gone (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f0T3WAbU6tg)
Sometimes I get too lazy to press the CD button in my car, so these are the songs I couldn't scrape off my brain when I heard them on the radio this past year. Experience my pain by checking out the videos of them through its link.

TV Shows of 2009
05) Scrubs
04) Breaking Bad
03) House
02) How I Met Your Mother
01) Dexter
Biggest surprise this year goes to Dexter. I caught up on all the seasons this past summer and never have I been so into a TV show before. As for the rest, How I Met Your Mother is brilliant as always and even though Scrubs went through some giant changes, it still puts a smile on my face.

Movies of 2009
05) Drag Me to Hell
04) Taken
03) Coraline
02) I Love You, Man
01) Zombieland
Granted each movie here is not a cinematic masterpiece, all that mattered is that I had a blast seeing each one.

Most Anticipated In 2010

04) Powerspace - American Machine
03) Hawthorne Heights - Skeletons
02) Panic! at the Disco
01) Blink-182
If someone told me last year that I'd be hearing a new Blink-182 album in 2010, I'd punch them (and probably myself) in the face. That said, it's easily my most anticipated for next year.

2010 Wants You Back
Yellowcard
Spitalfield
The Hush Sound
The Early November
Not much explanation needed. Their side projects are nice, but it's time for them to get back to how it used to be.

I'm surprised to see Eye Alaska on your worst list.. For me, that's possibly my best of the year. But otherwise LOVE how highly you ranked the New Found Glory album. And "Tell Me I'm A Wreck" definitely deserved to make the list. Such a catchy song.

I have no gripes, but a big WTF? at the 30STM on your worst of '09 list.

Disappointed to see 30STM on your worst list. Sooo much better than the garbage WTK and FTSK put out this year (no offence)

I agree with pretty much everything on this list, besides the fact AFI's new album I didn't like at all. Otherwise, my list looks pretty much the same as yours. Glad to see Every Avenue high on your list, I really enjoyed that one. Do you have a Last.fm? I need to start adding people with similar music tastes to find some new music.

Your top list is a merge of what I love combined with what I absolutely despised. Glad the Farewell love, I haven't stopped listening to Run It Up the Flagpole since I found a copy of it over Thanksgiving break.

Any tentative date on that Powerspace? I've known they were working on it for awhile, I just wasn't sure if it was ever actually coming out...

Powerspace probably fell off the face of the earth for all I know. I have no idea when that album will be out haha.

Fantastic lists, sir.
I'm very glad to see Danger Is My Middle Name getting some credit, yet the attraction to We the Kings surprises me.
How I Met Your Mother is an absolute riot!

P.S.- Your photo is the funniest thing I've seen all day.

I like your list...although I may not agree with some of the choices it is really nice to see someone on here include poppier bands in there list. People forget that it isn't easy to write great pop songs.

I hope that isn't true! Quarantine My Heart is still my number one song to put in a singing Valentine's Day Card marketed towards teens- if I were to ever get around to doing that.

kinda strange to see a top 30 list of primarily pop-punk without the dangerous summer anywhere on there

Your musical tastes are stellar. And by stellar, I mean practically identical to my own. Props man. Awesome list. I know anything on these lists I haven't already heard is something worth checking out.

This list really loses me at about #10. I feel that my experience is shared with a number of readers. Intentional?

Awesome picks! Of all the staff members' lists, mine would be most similar to this one.

Long live shitty pop/pop-punk music.
