Hunter might be the most stylish guy on this team. But don't mistake style for sanity. Hunter has long described himself as "suicidal." And he has proved it all his life. I like that Kenny Rogers is "on the roster" for the Pitcher spot. I've never noticed it before, but watching him this year he throws himself at every single ball hit up the middle. It's insane. He's a cock, but he's been good for us.

I don't understand how David Wright got such a Lenny Dykstra image. I know he made two great plays last year (diving into the stands and the barehand catch) but he's not like a nitty gritty player or anything.

the Phillies signed Jim Thome. I don't consider him to be a great 1B. If you can mash like he can, you'll get offers from alot of teams.

but, what this is all about is a phillies fan is the one of the last teams that should be calling out a player for being a "bad" defensive 1B. Especially when it's actually quite a misnomer. Ortiz is a more than adequate 1B. there's just better options on the red sox roster at 1B and the DH allows him to still be in the lineup. Same thing would happen if Howard was in the AL.
