We recorded a song called Splintered Psyche with one rock band (yes, the video game. we're low-budget right now) mic. We had just started the song a few days before, so it's somewhat off tempo, but that's mostly fixed now. Anyway, listen to it, and tell me what you think.

Try to find better recording firstly. It sounded decent for a garage band, but it sounded a little like you guys were trying to be Green Day. It's okay to sound vaguely like a band, but when it sounds like you're ripping them off, I would retweak your sound a little. Hope this helps a little.
