starting off the week is tomorrow's Browns vs. Steelers game in Cleveland

im looking forward to seeing what is unraveling in the afc east. the patriots are ahead by one game but they have 2 of the remaining four games away and they have yet to win on the road this year. the jets have the bucs and the falcons who they could very well go 2-0 these next two weeks, followed by the colts and bengals. it all depends on if the colts sit their starters that game. dolphins also have a chance to win four in a row if they can take out jaguars, titans, texans, and the slumping steelers. im real excited to see how this ends up. just think, if buffalo didn't hand the patriots the win back in week 1 then we would have a three way tie for 1st between three .500 teams, with the bills just one game behind

afc south the colts have the broncos who might be their toughest opponent left for the rest of the year, and if they can beat them they very well can go undefeated in the regular season if they dont sit their starters (which would be very surprising if they didnt).

other than that i haven't checked out all the matchups yet, damn 10 page paper due friday...

just found out mark sanchez isn't starting this weekend because rex ryan is looking out for the rest of the season and wants him to rest his injured knee. kellen clemens is starting. shouldnt be a big deal, the games the jets won he just has to hand the ball off, and 3-4 of the games they lost were all because of turnovers from sanchez. im not a jets fan nor a fan of anybody in the afc east but that division is exciting me because i have plenty of friends who love at least one team in that division....that and its so close because all the teams are mediocre at best

I like seeing all this NOVA love as I live in Herndon too. The Skins aren't my team though, I've been bleeding the purple and gold of the Vikes since the tecmo superbowl days. It's great to see them do well this year and get some love here, but it's sad to see people count them out after last week. Granted they played pretty poorly all around but Favre is still healthy and they're still one of the most (if not THE most) complete teams in the NFL. You do realize you're advocating trading a QB who completes 66% of his passes, has a 2:1 INT/TD ratio, and nearly 300yds a game....and who is playing with an injured shoulder, finger, and ribs...for unproven QB's who either looked VERY mediocre in big games (mcCoy), were injured all of this season (Bradford), or failed to really break .500 as a starter (Clausen).

And you'd do this all with a core that, at least offensively, is built to win in the playoffs now....sounds about right

Because the statistics say you are wrong...if you want to blame the losses on anyone, its certainly not Brady. You want to get rid of a QB who is at least Top 10, usually Top 5 in EVERY QB category because of the last few games...its just an insane thought to me. You'd probably try to get rid of Aaron Rodgers too when the Packers were losing

Edit: 2nd in total offense, passing offense, and scoring...in spite of having the 18th ranked rushing attack. Brady is also one of the least sacked NFL QB's cause he is smart enough to get rid of the ball early

At the same time, you have to believe any half decent quarterback would have at least moderate success in New England. Look at last year, we brought a nobody in to run the offense and we still won 10 games. Brady just always seems to be hurt and he is about to receive a massive contract from someone. I don't have faith that he can stay healthy and be as good as he was before the season ending injury last year.
