Been a LONG time since I posted here. In any case, these are the lyrics to my band's newest song, 'Apple Tree'.

Please, remember me as a kid clawing at a dead apple tree;
Was it fire or feast, or flower or treats I was seeking underneath?


Of the million steps I’ve stumbled, there’s one that stopped me dead;
It was far too steep for a child to leap up and over it.

Please, remember me as a kid yelling at a dark cemetery.
Was it love or beasts I expected in the echo that answered me?
I just don’t know why I exist as blood on snow.

With the night sky revolving, and seething down at me,
I admit I am just a seed.
Watch me grow!
So spread out and alone, a new species needing inspecting.
Between organs and bones, something new was sewn…
A monster of me or of the apple tree?
I just don’t know.

I was performing surgery with words when a Frankenstein was born.
It rose from the earth snarling, and I tried to feed it art, but it shook its
head, turned towards the grave and said, ‘Son, you’ve become too bitter for eating, even.’
