So, a friend was getting rid of some CDs from when he used to write reviews and sent me a few.
First one is Mayday Parade's Tales Told by Dead Friends. This is new to me, never heard Mayday Parade before. It isn't bad, sounds a bit generic, but ti's definitely not awful.
Second one is Spitalfield's Better Than Knowing Where You Are. Haven't listened to this yet. I remember a few friends in college loving this band, but I don't recall whether or not I ever check them out. For some reason, I think I saw them open for someoen on tour, but the fact that I don't remember means that if I did, they sure didn't stand out.
The third is Reggae Redemption Songs 2. It's a compilation of phat reggae tracks. Lots of Christafari on here. Great CD to get for free, no doubt.
The fourth and final one is River City High's Not Enough Saturday Nights. I was REALLY into this band circa 2001/2002. I think I saw them play at the Pontic Grille in Philly at least 4 times in a year span (guessed they liked playing Philly). This is a release from 2006, so I'm interested in finding out if their sound has changed/progressed in any way. Will be giving this a listen sometime today, most likely.
