See I thought I'd like it because when I do a franchise on Madden, I only play one or two games a season. I usually just tinker with the personnel stuff, trying to make the team good, and letting the simulator run the season for me, then I play the playoff games. Or very big regular season games.

it took honestly 8 hours to get to my first preseason game, but i like it. there's a lot of stuff you can do. teaching the players strategy for each play is a pretty big task in itself, but helps them out (because donovan insists on running every play if i don't yell at him).

it's definately not for everyone, but i enjoy it a lot.

the draft goes crazy...i'm the eagles and i traded TO for the 8th, so i had 8 and 14...and the actual draft goes nothing like the real one did.

like i said, it took me 8 hours to get to preseason, and that was only because i didn't realize half the stuff i could do until too late. if you rent it, make sure you have a weekend to spend on it.

basically you're players start off as retarded...and as you practice plays, you can coach them. so for each play, you make them better if you tell them how to read and react. i didn't start doing that until a few weeks before the end of training camp...we have much work to do as a team.

this game has a fucking glitch. after all my roster set up I was in week 2 of the regular season and all of a sudden all the games started reading 0-0 scores, and when I would play my game, it would be 2 different teams, and it would freeze right at the kickoff, or have empty playbooks. This sucks. I can't get around it and I'm about ready to flip out considering it took like 8 hours just to get to the regular season.

I hate how the roster system is displayed. You should be able to click to see a player profile, it should be auto organized like the rosters in madden, auto depth charts, the whole thing is just awkward and takes too many steps.

i agree...and you can only make 2 roster moves at a time and need to schedule time to make trades. why can't i just make a trade in office time.

i'm so fucking pissed about the glitch. i basically have to start over.... my backfield was Leinart, Bush, and David Kirkman or w/e from USC. i had to trade so much....


p.s. Matt - how do you cut a player? I've never been able to figure that out, when I need roster spots I basically just dump off players in exchange for like a 7th round draft pick via trades.

you have to call their agent. i think you go into the roster screen when you're able to sign people, and click on the player. call their agent and it will ask you if you want to let them go.

It really annoys me how tired running backs get. I give Alexander like 3 carries in a fucking possesion and he's gotta go to the sideline and take a breather. Your 2nd string ends up getting as many carries as your 1.
