maybe I don't want to cause a scene
I've already had my fifteen minutes of fame
can we really be different by being loud and playing childish games?
I can see from my throne, a whole lot of hypocrites
but not when I lust at my own reflection through perfect cameras and glass
wondering why you all can't just take my example
eat my body, drink my blood
surely, it won't save you, but maybe I'll be comfortable then
live to serve me please, that's what I'm really trying to say
or don't, I could care less
we are all hypocrite, afterall
you are me

and our infatuation for ourselves sure is complicating the thing called love
when all I care about is me
and you you
and comfort comfort

I don't really know what to say
you don't either, especially if you're like me
and start pointing fingers, start saying you actually do care for someone other than yourself
citing graphs and figures, summing up love in a power-point bullet-point ten-point presentation

The Spirit isn't me
move in me and through me

our plea
not settling for noise
or for becoming Narcissus, fixed upon ourselves
God made us so God could die for us so God could save us so God could move us so we could know God.
