i think its about fair. we have a lot of question marks coming into the season, but i think if we get everything going we could be top 15

lol at pitt #4. theyll lose about 13 games and be 30th in the country. they always fuck up in the tournament too.

I think Carolina should be two, but I agree with the rest of the list. Also, they didn't say anything about losing Noel, which is huge, but was obviously known since he was a senior.

I'm not surprised ND and Seton Hall aren't on there, but I hope they both exceed my expectations this year.

Oh, and I'd switch Pitt and Ohio State. OSU will be better than Pitt.

buckeyes should be top 5. 7's nice, but i'd put them higher.

even with oden missing the start of the season, they've got a damn good team.

Wow BC at 13 im surprised they are so high based on what they lost. If Williams can devlop any kind of offensive consistency, and if rice shoots more and makes less poor decisions i can see them doing well. Dudley is still a beast.

yeah, i'm confident that we'll duplicate our success last season. Williams is a monster, especially when it comes to shot blocking. I think he'll become a household name to go along with Dudley, a possible POY. I'm nervous about Rice ...but I think we're good for about 22-25 wins.

And AGAIN Arizona is rated higher than they should be/will finish in a preseason poll. When will they learn? Zona is always a preseason top 15, yet they never, EVER do as well as predicted. Underachieving school.

I've said it before and i'll say it again: Lute Olson is overrated.

you are probably the most negative fan of your team since mikeford. have some faith, jeez. all i ever see you do is talk shit about paul davis and how much you hate him, yet you're an MSU fan?

haha. yeah I am. outside of the red wings and pistons the sports scene in michigan doesn't offer much to be positive about.

And i do hate paul davis. he's the softest 6'11" center ever. He's a huge shooting guard who did little to use his size defensivey and especially on the offensive end. Plus, depsite his "good numbers" he still underachieved for the amount of talent he has.

That said, we've lost mo ager, paul davis to graduation and shannon brown left early. We didn't get a SG in this years recruiting class; we got a C and 2 SF's. We've got a point guard who really doesn't seem comfortable shooting in his first 2 years and will now have to be the main option as he's really the only one returning that has had significant playing time as Matt Trannon most likely won't be playing this year as he's expected to focus on football and the potential NFL Combine next spring.

The kids we've got coming in for 07 look good and will help fulfill our needs, especially at the guard position, but this year, with this roster, coupled with OSU having one the best incoming classes in a while doesn't offer much hope. call me cynical, call me realistic. whatever. it's the way i see it.

That said, I don't think we'll finish bottom of the league. I exaggerate alot of what I say about how bad we'll finish. We'll probably be a bubble team for the NCAA tourney. which says something about your program where being a bubble team is a disappointment.

Travis Walton and Drew Neitzel will be forced to lead the team. I think they will suprise people. Maybe not a final four apearance but hey at least theyll make the NCAA tourney like many doubt.

Yeah, i know i make it sound like we've got some community college kids on our team. But really, they won't be at a typical Michigan State level like we've come to know. next fall we've got some good SG's coming in. We've got the 4th nad 7th best SG's which will be a big help next year (not this coming year but 07) and coupled with Neitzel as a Senior (i'm assuming he won't jump at the end of this year) that will definitely help as well as Tom Herzog devolping as he's the incoming C this year. The future looks good but I see something a bubble year this year for MSU.

there Scott, you've pulled out the optimistic fan in me. It does help the tigers just had a walk off win to help my sports fandom mood, but still. My nature is always pessimism first when it comes to my sports teams because really, my sports teams have always sucked.

i wont agree with any publication that has UConn ahead of Nova, im sorry.

i know Nova's gonna be unproven, but UConn is probably one of the most unproven teams in the nation

as for that top 25, i love mid majors ...but there is no way that creighton is the #9 team in the nation. Same goes for the Tide at #10.

I also seriously doubt that UCLA is the 6th best team in the country after losing Farmar.

also, why LSU and Georgetown so low? Those are both top 10 teams.

but they had buckeyes at 4. and even pitt at 3.

thats understandable, seeing as its true they are unproven. But they have a great recruiting class, it was i think number 5 or 6 before Thabeet signed, and now some people have made them the number 2 class.
