TECHNICALLY it isn't supposed to be until July 4th week but it is in the computers now, I can verify this since I just went and got Metroid Prime Pinball for $8.96. Plus tons of kids on the IGN board I found this on have done it too all over the country, no one seems to have had any problems. Here are the games. They will still have their usual prices on them, but should ring up $8.96 at the register.

Seems like it is working all over the nation without any real problems. I got my game at a Chicago CC (77th and S. Cicero.) Selection wasn't great (I wanted Trace Memory and Mario Golf GBA too but they didn't have them) but hey for 9 bucks it is worth checking out what they do have. Most the games on the list suck but there are some good ones... Advance Wars, Meteos, Metal Gear Solid 3, We Love Katamari, etc.

One thing though, I wouldn't bother calling and asking or anything because I don't think much of anyone working there actually KNOWS about it yet, it is just in the computers.

i used to work at circuit city, so if a sale is happening at one store, its a nationwide happening. and i believe them being in the system this early. it happened a few times when i worked there with PC games. we got the ads a week in advance, and i would look over them and see a PC game for a certain price. and i knew it was different currently, and when someone purchased it, it would be at the future sale price.

I used to work at Target for years. We would clearence games all the time and id get them for dirt cheap. This look similar where it isnt a sale but a clearence, which is why they are already ringing up that price.

Taking them back to CC wont get you any more money. Try to sweet talk some Gamestops into taking them back w/o reciept for full credit. A few years ago (jan 2002) This happened at target and since the clearenece team was busy with old xmas crap they never marked any of the games yet. So I printed out a list and hit up every target in a 20 minle radius. I got all sorts of game for $5 - $12. Then I took them to different gamestops, claimed them as xmas presents i didnt want and got full store credit. In the end i paid about $80 and got $475 in store credit.

i think if you buy 4 or 5 xbox games that are relatively new you should make it easily and if it doesnt work, you can always return them to circuit city, since this isnt a store closing clearence or anything.


i would just go to walmart, make sure they have a ds lite instock, and say your little 8 year old brother received these games from your grandmother for his birthday, but he would rather have a ds lite.

and 1 copy of far cry for xbox.
