Last time I heard this song, I was at my Junior/Senior Banquet my Senior year. (I went to a Christian school, and they wouldn't use the word "prom" because it implies you're gonna get laid afterwards. Yeah, 'cause the kids who wanted to get laid would let that stop them. Anyways...) I was dancing with my ex at the time. A few days later, we started dating again. Then broke up again. We snuck one more relationship in there before being done for good. Third's a charm, right? Uh, no.

I actually miss my prom/"banquet" a lot more that I thought I would. Since it was a Christian school, I got to dance to "Jesus Freak." I moshed to the song and did a really lame but really fun back-to-back kick-to-the-air hardcore dance move with a kid who was one of my best friends and is too busy with his deathcore band and trying to be cool these days. Those were such good days.

Oh my, that's no fun. See, stuff like this always bothers me. I have a lot of friends who are girls, and I sometimes end up developing crushes on them but not acting on them because I don't want to compromise our friendship. I think you'd like it. A trippy, bluesy folk album just sparse enough to let your mind wander, with cryptic, thought-provoking lyrics. A lot more accessible than that Microphones garbage, too. haha
Ha, cool. When I do check them out, I'll let you know what I think.
I've noticed in the past that we have a lot of bands in common, so you never know, you might like them. I would say they're much better than the typical British band- even Dave a.k.a. The Personist loves them (I realize this might actually turn people away, but I still love Dave).
I love Dave, too... lol. We talk a lot on Facebook. Just between you and me (and anyone else who reads this), that doesn't convince me all that much. I think I've gotten a pretty good feel on what he tends to like in music, and while we have a good bit that overlaps, we have enough differences to make that not much of a guarantee. I might like them. Maybe? We'll see.

Same. We also have a lot of differences, which is why this one similarity actually means something haha. I want to show you their best song, but it isn't on youtube or anything :bluesad:

I don't think I could choose one or the other
they are both really fucking cool
the first time opening Censored Colors was so intriguing while with Satanist it was like "what the fuck, how do I close it?"
& I'm a huge fan of John's art, which Censored Colors only had a little bit of

Because of this thread I was looking through all my CD's. I realized that NIN never had eye catching album covers. If I had to chose a favorite it would be The Slip.

Depends on where you bought it from online. If the quality of the mp3s is 192kbps or lower, then I would rebuy a physical copy.

No worries. It's a good album, not the most amazing one you'll ever hear... but a good, solid debut. A lot of heart. Really good guys too, they're in it for all the right reasons... friends of mine have toured with them over here.
