cartel is one of my favorite bands, but they are always super boring in interviews. I have been around them after a few shows, and they are funny guys, but in interviews they seem less interesting.

At least they were honest about their intent with the record and thier sound. I'm a fan.

their albums are nothing more than played out pop punk with absolutely no lyrical basis. I don't mind bands having lyrical strength, and lacking instrumental progression (or vice versa), but please at least have one or the other. cartel is horrible in my opinion, and this interview really summed up their lack of respect for music and their eventual demise. and that can be quoted.

What do you guys want them to wear funny hats in the interview to make it more entertaining? If someone asks a serious question they get a serious answer. Just my opinion.

That was the first time I ever heard words come from this band's mouth that put me to sleep.

In person, Will is a super nice dude and funny and interesting (at least when I talked to him back in March), but man...that was a snooze.
