What happens to those still caught in the jungle?
Tangled in vines without the will to pull through
Where do they go when they get older?
Do they lay there and rot, or repent for their sin?
It doesn't matter at the end of the day
those that quit didn't try anyway
it's all their fault they didn't get away
it's all their fault they didn't get away
What of those who never had a teacher?
Who had nothing to look forward to at the end of the road
those raised without the love of a mother
a father, a brother, a sister, a home
It doesn't matter at the end of the day
those that quit didn't try anyway
it's all their fault they didn't get away
it's all their fault they didn't get away
don't blame it on a lack of skill
anyone can overcome anything through the human will
don't blame it on a broken home
where the child goes to bed alone
it's all their fault, don't you see
there is no jungle, not a single tree
they're all to blame, not you and me
I've seen the movies a hundred times
summed them all up in less than thirty lines
there's no room for excuse
or time for a plea
their failure is theirs
and theirs alone
they'd rather rot
than admit they are wrong
because it matters to me, at the end of my day
when the blood on my hands just won't wash away
that the fault they didn't make it, surely wasn't mine
the fault is their own
so ignore my hands who never reached out
I was too busy living just for myself
and I'll ignore yours
don't you see?
they're all to blame, not you and me.
It doesn't matter at the end of the day
those that quit didn't try anyway
it's all their fault they didn't get away
it's all their fault they didn't get away
