Such a god damned manly film. Yes, some of the effects look a bit crappy now and the dialogue in places is awful but it is freakin awesome

i love when will smith smokes a cigar and drags that alien thru the desert

I love it when he just randomly starts kicking the shit out of him. Also, the fact he is laughing, smoking and making jokes just after his entire squadron (including his best friend) is wiped out by aliens

Yeah I heard about that about 6 months back. It should be cool (because whatever anyone says, speaking as both an actor and a film&media student, he is a fucking terrific actor).

My only problem with it is that it is being directed by a music video director who's only big screen work was Constantine.

Constantine was alright, but half of it was boring as hell and made little or no sense. The last 30 minutes kicked ass though

I have seen Cube 2 and the start of Cube 1.

Cube 2 had just about one of the most confusing plots and worst endings I have seen in recent memory

that was my favorite movie when it came out. Just sweet shit all around, will smith kicking alien ass.

Count the number of times Will Smith has said "Oh Hell No!" in all of his movies, it adds up.

before mavericks playoffs games, we would play the video of Pullman doing the speech at the end/ "we will not go quietly into the night." Our thought was this, if the world could wipe out aliens after listening to a speech that bad, then a basketball team would have no trouble beating other humans. It didnt work though, that speech is so horrible, that its amazing. It still gives me chills, though im not sure why.

Hahaha I'm exactly the same. It is so cheesy and over the top but god be damned if it doesn't always make me smile and say "Fuck yeah!" on the inside

the best part of that is when Jeff Goldblum uses his bizarre logic to come to an answer for destroying the aliens with a "cold"

they made fun of it in an episode of South Park

Haha I know.

His dad just says 'Get up off that freezing floor before you catch a cold'

and then Jeff's all like

"Your a genius! A computer virus planted in the mothership followed by a tactical nuclear explosive device will disable the shield generators thus allowing an allied counter strike!"

It was mentioned on teletext, its up on imdb and it was in empire magazine, twice

I think that by doing this hollywood is single handedly raping itself of any dignity it may have had left

I liked it when it first came out but I was in the 6th grade. I don't think I could sit through it again unless I was with a group of people.
