Your father swears he doesn't hide
Despite all the bottles he's stacked in front of himself
And i swear sometime men try
But their overconfidence often leads to failure
The constant worries over women
And how we never got to do just what we wanted
If its a disappointing cause, let it be
Riding this open deep blue sea, you and me

Your brother works all night and day
It's better than being lost at home he says
And i swear we've all tried
A little self-medication from time to time
The constant troubles, of monsters
Of those damn monkeys on your back
If its one big trip to hell, let it be
Towards the fire and the flames, let us both go

I was once a lonely man so i went to sea
Because if i had this feeling, i better deserve it
They say isolation brings despair, it brought me peace
At least i knew just what surrounded me
And no tall tales, awaited me
No short-hand stacks, of revelry
And the only thing to do
Was bleed, eat, sleep, and breathe

Just bleed, eat, sleep, and breathe
Just try and breathe
