We now have a brand new track from The Distance (http://www.thedistance.net) streaming on their AP.net (http://www.absolutepunk.net/thedistance) profile. The song is called "Inspired By You (For The Broken Hearted)" and is lifted from the bands upcoming Abacus Recordings (http://www.abacusrecordings.com) release, The Rise, The Fall, & Everything In Between, which is due out on June 27th.

Aside from this one song, The Distance plays hardcore... or at least they used to. Very weird choice of bands to compare them too.
Their old stuff wasn't too great either, so whatever.

The comparisons are pretty appropriate for the new album, unfortunately. A Thrice one is generous, even.

I love when bands like this try to sell out and end up failing badly.

they still play a ton of the old stuff, and most of the new album is still hardcore. there are just 3-4 pop songs on it as well.

there's like 2 genuinely hardcore songs on the new cd. most of it is pop, but not as catchy/as good charlotte-y as this. guess they decided to cash in. this stream isn't very featured, it's been on their myspace for like 2 months.
