is coming to America.

A normal dart tournament gets Monday Night Football ratings in the UK. As did poker a few years before we got the WSOP shoved down out throats.

ESPN has the World Series of Darts in development and it will be aired later in the year.

The wikipedia makes no mention of ESPN. I read the ESPN involvement on their site. They want to make it the new poker.

I've watched a good bit of it on Sky when in Ireland/UK, and I've found it to be the least television friendly sport ever. It's boring as hell. I'm sure it would be exciting when the guy wins when you're drunk, but there are better sports in america for that, like boxing and UFC.

EDIT: later this year is next month. Has ESPN started hyping this? i try to avoid the channel. Also dont scroll down on the wikipedia if you don't want to see the winner.

i have not heard or seen anything about it on espn.

however, on FSN they do show dart tournaments from time to time. the only exciting thing is the announcer yelling "100 and 40" about 85 times. it's retarded.

i seriously tried to watch the dominoes because i don't know how to play but they offer no instructions or anything. it was horribly done. at least have a basic rundown on how to play at the beginning of the show. instead they followed around these guys with jamaican accents and showed them doing whatever it was they were doing for like the first 15 mins of the show.
