I'm not really a regular here so I don't know if this kind of thing is frowned upon or whatever. I'm really sorry if it is. I play in a fast punk band from RI called The Down And Outs and I just want people to listen to our stuff. The myspace is www.myspace.com/thedownandoutsri (http://www.myspace.com/thedownandoutsri) or www.thedownandouts.com (http://www.thedownandouts.com) for short.

You'll probly dig it if youre into the fast music from the 90's. Dude Ranch era-Blink182, NOFX, Lagwagon, Less Than Jake, Prpagandhi, Bigwig etc.

Hope you guys like it. :)

Those are some awesome choices. My friend Dave was in bones brigade for the final european tour before they broke up. Unfortunately he didnt get to play on any records. :( He rips on guitar tho.

It was just one of those things that came up one day and I was like "wait a minute.....really?" I didn't really believe it until I looked up some youtube videos. Fuckin weird haha. Never heard of 50/50 frontside. Gonna have to check that out.

are you serious? someone posted their bands link and didn't get crushed with assholes ripping on him?

impressive man.

btw, if you're all into the skatepunk genre, check out the runaway sons. They started maybe a year ago in Kansas City, and they're definetly going to take over.

Haha I was a little nervous since I'm not a regular and I didn't really know how this kinda thing goes over around here. I'm pleasantly surprised with everyones feedback and it's very likely that I'm going to be posting here more often. You guys are cool. :) By the way that band is awesome. They friends of yours?

Thanks so much! I'm glad you like it. EP is up on interpunk now and the full length will be out on Jan 5th (or shortly after...interpunk is a little slow sometimes haha).

yeah, we've played together a few times

on a different subject, what has your experience been with interpunk? we've just sold our stuff on itunes and our big cartel, but we were thinking about smart punk/interpunk. should we bother?

Interpunk is the BEST. We've made hundreds of dollars in sales off of that website and they're SUPER good about keeping up with what youve sold and what they owe you. They're always prompt with payment.

Also, we just landed a deal for national distribution of our full length in Japan. The label thats picking us up heard about us from kids who bought our CD on interpunk. So if you look at it a certian way, we landed the deal because of interpunk.

In short...interpunk rules. Sell your stuff there.

Bumping to let everyone know that we've been added to the Hartford, CT and Mansfield, MA dates of Warped Tour this year. We'll be on the Kevin Says Stage on 7/11 and the Ernie Ball Stage on 7/13. If anyone here is going to either of those dates I'd love to meet up and hang out!

Definitely diggin' this. You guys are right up my alley -- not sure how I've escaped hearing you until now. Haha. Awesome stuff! If nothing else, I'll seek out an album at Warped.

And playing Club Hell in August with Smartbomb. Fuckin' A!

Awesome man! Our tent will be somewhere near the Ernie Ball Stage on the MA date. Thanks for checking us out! What bands are you going to see this year?

The stuff reminds me of playing Tony Hawk on xbox haha Hell yes! Tony Hawk 2 had quite possibly the best sound track in video game history.
