The following two accounts of last night was sent in to us:

Last night, at the Houston Calls (http://www.absolutepunk.net/houstoncalls) show, Richard Reines was in attendance, and midway through the show, they announced they were going to debut new hellogoodbye (http://www.absolutepunk.net/hellogoodbye) songs, and proceeded to play 3 new songs over the PA. The first song they played was a previous demo. The last song was a remix of Touchdown Turnaround. The middle song was very bland, and boring. While changing track we heard the first few seconds of a couple tracks, which seemed to be better.

Last night at the Houston Calls show in Hackensack New Jersey, excessDB played 3 tracks off of the new Hellogoodbye CD, out August 8th. There was a dance party in the crowed and I can say it's going to be one of the best CD's out in 2006. I think one of the titles was "Baby It's Phat."

02. Here (In Your Arms)
03. All Time Lows
04. Stuck to You
05. Homewrecker
06. Oh It Is Love
07. Baby It's Fact
08. Figures A and B (Means You and Me)
09. I Saw It on Your Keyboard
10. Touchdown Turnaround (Don't Give Up on Me)
11. Two Weeks in Hawaii

Whether this is the real tracklisting or not is unknown.

If that's the real tracklisting, I'm surprised there are so many older tracks. I'll be glad to see "Homewrecker," but there are five other old tracks there.

I really like the single, though... it grew on me greatly.

Forrest has said that the album will feature six brand new songs and five older songs redone. If you count "Homewrecker" (which is somewhat new), along with the ones you highlighted, that would be the six new ones.

nah trust me. homewrecker is what got me into hellogoodbye in 2004. just because it debuted on a dtr compliation at warped tour doesn't mean it wasn't floating on the internet before that. i haven't downloaded any hellogoodbye since the internet ep &i had homewrecker before the internet ep came out.

hahaha noooo, all time lows is one of the first songs he wrote... they had to change the lyrics from 'a chance lasts a finite time in the warm july nighttime' to 'COOL july nighttime' because ozma didn't want them to use their exact lyrics i guess. homewrecker was written about 3 years after all time lows.

Homewrecker, regardless of WHEN it was released, is still an old song. It's been around the internet and on various compilations for at least a year, and that is quite a bit of time. That fact brings me to the point everyone is overlooking: If that tracklisting is correct, this album will be a disappointment. For months now the release date has been pushed back, recording problems have arisen ( see: Forrest's laptop being stolen ) and they've been hyped on MTV without a full length album even coming out. So we waited all this time and all we get is an album with four new songs? Don't get me wrong, I love all the old demos and I can't wait to hear them rerecorded, but this is what we've waited for? I feel like any true HgB fans have been cheated, ever so slightly. :(

i concur :) there really was a serious dance party going on, and Baby It's Fact was a good sounding song, catchy and classic HGB style. the remix of T^2 had hella backbeat, we thought the venue had turned into a nightclub heh.
Here in your arms and the clips of other songs that they played (by mistake?) - i guess richard brought the whole cd with him - sounded good too, different than the demos which is why they were all LEAKED DEMOS. duh.

i think the cd is dissapointing bc there are only 5 new songs (all your love, here, stuck to you, oh it is love, and baby its fact). though all the other songs are redone, i dont know why touchdown is on there, its already been on an ep and it sounds the least diff than any of the other rerecordings. baby its fact and all your love i am especially excited for tho, there are the only ones i dont have entirely. you can hear clips from the entire album on http://www.hellogoodbye.net if anyone is interested in cheaking them out
