My old high school had 7 periods.
This sounds like it has a good chance to be cool though.
I've always been a big fan of these guys.
"Everyday's Forecast" and "Pillmatic" always have been my jams.

How many schools have 13 periods?
My middle school had 12 if I remember correctly, but c'mon now, if they were to really be TRUE to most schools' class period counts, there'd only be 6 or 7, which would make for an EP, not a CD.

But they could have been a little more clever. They could have added "Homeroom" or "Gym Class".

If you look close though, there's only 10 "real" periods, the rest are lunch, a club, and detention, which in most schools don't count as a class time. (even though yearbook was totally a class you could take in my high school. And the only "fun" class you could take.)

I don't know about "Homeroom". That's a little too middle school-ish.
But lawlz, gym class would have been a good choice.

I've heard parts of it. It's a LITTLE bit different than the first, but take into consideration that two members of the band weren't on the last record. Disashi and Eric didn't play on Papercut Chronicles. They brought their own influences to this and meshed them with Trav's and Matt's. Jason doesn't really like it, but I'm a fan of what I have heard. I wouldn't be surprised if they become huge off of it.

These guys went to high school the same time i did, we all graduated more than 5 years ago, and upstate new york hadn't really converted to the block scheduling and 80 minute period type deals until i was a junior, so there's a good chance their school in Geneva actually had that many periods.

I figured it was someone from the band haha.
If it was, I'd look forward more to it, I like the songs with those vocals.
But now that you say it, I guess it is Beckett.
I'm excited for another TAI release.

I like the song, I just don't like the subject matter.
I still like this band, and I guess they have always had these kind of songs, so I really have no argument.

;)
I mean, I can see why people would be annoyed by the song, but as you said they have been doing silly stuff in their music for quite some time, and with their automatic connection into the young disenfranchised youth market/underground "alterna-indie-punk" arena, it completely makes sense to have something like this that connects them even more with it. Even if you take away all the Myspace elements, the story there is still "boy pining for girl", and that is a pretty classic story that never goes away.

Ive only heard two songs off this cd but they're amazing. "New Friend Request" and "The Queen and I."
The second song can be heard on Decaydence's Myspace (http://www.myspace.com/decaydancerecords)
This is going to be great and It's obvious they're not catering to twelve year olds. THese guys are so not scene and thats why I love them.
