View Full Version : Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura

I don't know if anyone gets TruTV on their television provider, but if you do, check out this show. It is some of the funniest television ever. Basically, Jesse Ventura begins at 10:00 not believing in a conspiracy, maybe not even being aware of it, just blindly living his life. Then, over the course of an hour, and a few interviews with Alex Jones-esque characters, Ventura and his team are unequivocally convinced of the theory, and leave the show as if they proved it.

It's amazing. I've already seen the 9/11 episode and now I'm watching the Global Warming episode.

Ha ha ha ha, yeah, and the best part is, in that part, he was talking about how people could have painted thermite in buildings all over the country, just a bunch of buildings ready to go up in flames whenever the government wants it to.

I'm a big fan of asking questions about government stories, etc, because cover-ups and conspiracies do exist, but you can't be like the guys on this show; if someone's on the show and says '9/11 was actually perpetrated by mutant koalas bent on destruction', Ventura turns around and says, in The Body voice, 'MY GOD...THE KOALAS COULD BE IN ANY TREE...IN ANY PLANE!'

It doesn't help to go mindlessly from swallowing the official version to mindlessly swallowing the conspiracy.

i also loved in the first episode they were interviewing the old redneck who was wearing a G-Unit shirt...and when the body gets turned away from the gates and he says something along the lines of WHEN I GET THREATENED I DONT GET INTIMIDATED....I GET PISSED

I've seen that clip before, I never understood what exactly it was that Norton was arguing for.

caveBEAR
12/18/09, 09:09 AM
Norton sounds like a god damn idiot that entire time. Especially since he is OK with invading an entire country when a group of people (most not even from that country) attacks us, but 'fuck South Korea'. Norton has always irritated me, even with his stand up, and now I see why; I could sense that he was a tool.

This show makes everyone who watches it dumber. Jesse Ventura can not articulate any kind of sentence or thought that remotely sounds intelligent.

its irrelevant, just as Ventura's arguement.

the thing to take way, is the way Jesse essentially shuts down like a child when confronted with his own insulting and aggressive style (which he uses regularly on Conspiracy). I can't get over how great Norton turned that whole episode in on him.

Also, Ventura's show is the first to mention Maurice Strong and all that he stands to gain from Global Warming.

Answer me this honest question: Given the massive failures of the bush administration in the two wars, the economic collapse as well as the terrible handling of Katrina, do you honestly think the government would be capable of orchestrating 9/11 and not only make it successful but also make it so that nobody in government would have leaked the plan?

There are two schools of thought here. Those who think Bush let it happen, and those who think he made it happen. I happen to agree with the former, given the countries we know warned us, and that memo. My point right now is the fact that what they said happened either didn't happen or is a half truth. The things the government is telling us happened are more far-fetched than most of things any truthers are talking about. We didn't find a blackbox for the first time, ever, but we found one of the terrorists passports in practically perfect condition.

Do I think Bush orchestrated the attacks? No. But I do think at the very least he let it happen and then capitalized on it.

It seems Bush overlooked something when he personally planned the 9/11 attacks, he was not prepared for the scrutiny of such great minds. Cheney might have realised, but alas, he was busy at his Illuminate meeting.

I wouldn't call them 'two schools of thought', I would refer to them more as two after-school detentions of thought.

Bush could not have orchestrated 9/11. If you know anything about how the government works, then you'd know it wouldn't have stayed secret. At all. No questions.

As for letting it happen? Word your phrases more carefully. If you want to say 'Bush didn't have the proper policies in place to ensure something like this wouldn't happen', well, you'd probably still be wrong, but you'd be on the right track.

I happen to agree with the former, given the countries we know warned us, and that memo.

The countries we know warn us about a lot. You do realize there are more than 1 or 2 people in the world at a time that wish to do us harm, right? Same goes for the memo. Sure, there was a memo saying that Osama was 'intent' or whatever to attack within the USA. There were thousands of those memos that never turned into anything, and the memo didn't say 'Hey, Bush, they're going to use planes on 9/11 and here are their names lol', it had no details other than 'guy we know wants to attack us still wants to attack us'.

My point right now is the fact that what they said happened either didn't happen or is a half truth.

Ooooooohkay.

The things the government is telling us happened are more far-fetched than most of things any truthers are talking about.

Government = religious zealots use commercial airliners as weapons, and use them more effectively than anyone could have planned.

Truthers = Government planted bombs and painted flammable materials on the walls, faked a plane crash, detonated the buildings, pulled down other buildings for shits and giggles, crashed a plane in a field, and murdered thousands of Americans so that when Americans protest the invasion to Iraq in record numbers they can ignore them and do it anyway.

Question? Why didn't Bush just invade Iraq to begin with? It wasn't like everyone was ecstatic about that.

We didn't find a blackbox for the first time, ever, but we found one of the terrorists passports in practically perfect condition.

Someone doesn't understand physics....An explosion throws things, such as bone pieces, paper, passports, etc., far, far away, and if they aren't destroyed in the initial blast or smolder in the fire, they'll be alright, just far away.

As well, we never found the black boxes because no black box has ever had to withstand the punishment those black boxes took. Planes don't directly nose dive into buildings, in most cases the pilots at least try to stop the crash. Of course the black boxes were destroyed, it's like building a LEGO house, dropping a fifty pound weight on it, then being surprised you can't find some of the pieces.

Do I think Bush orchestrated the attacks? No. But I do think at the very least he let it happen and then capitalized on it.

Bush definitely capitalized on the attack, but so did a looooooooooooooooooot of other people and agencies. Were they all in on it, too?

Man, I wish I didn't have school work because I would love to just marathon this. The part at the beginning of the fema one where they just assume the black bins are coffins almost had me rolling.

Another good 9/11 debunk link (http://www.popularmechanics.com/technology/military/news/1227842)

Do I believe that the government may not be letting all of the information out? Sure. Do I believe they handled the situation poorly? Yes.

However, to say that it was an inside job is bullshit. The only part I could believe about the conspiracy is that the government shot down flight 93. However, I do not know much about that specifically.
