Writing classifieds sucks and always sounds lame, but please bear with me....
We are an established Kansas City rock and roll band called Roanoke (www.myspace.com/roanoke)
Our current music is a mix between Vaux, He is Legend, It dies today (old), The Fall of Troy and Gatsby's American dream. Our new stuff will be more of a genre mix and want to take influences to the extreme. We have a love for breakdowns and strong melodies as well as dissonant chords and off time signatures/poly rhythms. But you know what? You can have all that radness and still sing pretty.
The new drummer MUST be willing to learn our current set and would also bring ideas and substance to new stuff as well as play the hell out of their drums live and put on a great live show. We practice atleast twice a week. He/she must also be willing to tour on weekends and possibly a lot more in the Fall as well as promote the band in their free time.
Skills must be top notch as well as creativity, a knack for off time signatures, and a positive attitude. Underline POSITIVE ATTITUDE.
