i'm attempting to work on a novel or novella with a dark main character and i'm just going to leave little quotes, observations, and characteristics i think fit him\her in the hopes that i can find them a genuine voice and purpose.....not looking for comments just using this forum as a note taker when i'm to lazy to find a pen and pad.

acts of self destruction make us who we are.
a job is something to be used, it shouldn't use you.
the destruction of the world is at hand and i can't help myself from dancing.
the social cancers are the only ones who might save the world while attempting to destroy it.
functional addict.
family with sexual skeletons in the closet.
prison term early in life.
a minority.
young and drifting.
story that ends up going nowhere but anywhere.
refuses most paying work as a matter of principle.
been committed to a mental hospital at some point.
incapable of seeing much point to the days other then getting twisted and bullshitting.

have had this person in my head for years but haven't figured out how to let them out just yet...hope this helps me figure it out because i know they have some interesting stories to tell me.

surrounds themselves with fuck ups to feel better about themselves.
hopeless romantic.
middles class origins.
good looking but incapable of real intimacy with anyone they don't completely trust....character trusts no one.
posts frequently on a forum not to far removed from this one.

conned free lunches at school.
priest for a father.

i guess i'm really attempting to write an autobiography that isn't, but much like my life i still have no idea where it's going.
