I would say either Adaptation. losing to The Pianist for best adapted screenplay, or the fact that Johnny Depp has yet to win.
Also, Crash for best picture this year made me mad.
Any to add?

I thought 'Crash' was nowhere near close to the best picture.
The acting was questionable in places, the plot was contrived and it was as subtle with its message as gunshot wound to the penis

I think of Magnolia as what Crash wanted to be.
Paul Thomas Anderson deserved to win best picture for Magnolia and Boogie Nights.

Disagree about Forrest Gump...at least that one was very close in my mind.

the year Denzel won best actor
He beat like Russel Crow in a Beautiful Mind, Will Smith in Ali, Sean Penn in I Am Sam ...and it just made me laugh
Million Dollar Baby winning best picture was a tragedy, cause I wouldnt say it was better than the ones it was up against
Forrest Gump did win best picture the year it was nominated

there's plenty to think should have been different

haha. i agree. i reaaaaaly didn't think 'crash' was very good at all. definitely not good enough to win a 'best picture.' the only reason why i was glad when it won was so 'brokeback mountain' couldn't win it.

The only reason 'Crash' won best picture is because if it didn't, then it would have been racist.
Same logic goes for how Halle Berry won the best actress oscar for Monsters Ball. Aside from the fucking scene, she sucked ass in that film

i had no problem with crash winning.
i liked it more than anything it was up against. it was actually the only nominee i enjoyed.

Halle Berry over whoever else was nominated. I don't care who. Monster's Ball was trash, and Berry was so bad in it I can't even understand how she didn't get a Razzie, let alone an Oscar. "MAKE ME FEEL GOOD!" Good lord.

I agree with you completely with the first one and disagree with you on the second one. Nothing against Pulp Fiction (cuz I still haven't seen it) but Forrest Gump is just too fucking good in my mind.

Adam Sandler should've been nominated and won Best Actor that year. His range in that movie was brilliant. From being drunk to sober to being a grade-school kid to a high-school student, he did it all! If you haven't noted the sarcasm yet then ignore this post.
