Lollapalooza: Last Band Standing

This year, Lollapalooza is running a competition called Last Band Standing (http://www.freshtracksmusic.com/lolla2006/index.aspx) in which "any band – big or small – from anywhere in the world compete to join the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Kanye West, Manu Chao, Wilco and 125 more bands on the Lollapalooza 2006 lineup. The winner will not only receive an opening slot at Lollapalooza, but countless other prizes and perks." The Militia Group's The Appleseed Cast (http://www.myspace.com/theappleseedcast) is among the huge list of bands in this competition; to find a band, use the navigation bar along the top, and be sure to vote for the artist you enjoy most!

I voted for the Cast. Scrolling down I saw a group called The Politics, thought I read The Police, and nearly lost it.

im effing pissed at lollapalooza. they just have to attract panic! so much that they decided to stay the whole weekend, as that weekend san diego is putting on street scene, and panic! was going to play that. now panic! is playing that tuesday before but its $20 and im already gonna be spending anywhere from $75-$115 for tickets to street scene.

there are way too many bands on here, there are even doubles of bands, this shoud be weeded out so it doesn't take me 3 days to sift through, but i voted for downtown singapore and appleseed cast
