I know it's cliche, but I'm sure many people can relate to the topic. And if there was already a thread about this, shoot me.
"Sweetness" by Jimmy Eat World is what essentially made me get into music.
"I'll Catch You" by The Get Up Kids moves me everytime I hear it.
What about you?

I don't have anything on topic to say, but Colin Mochrie is AWESOME.

I don't think I've ever really had a song that changed my life, but lots of albums. The Format, Fall Out Boy, Neutral Milk Hotel, The Dresden Dolls, and of Montreal have changed my life.
Idioteque by Radiohead. i saw them play it on snl when i was like 11 or 12. i had no idea music like that existed. changed my life for sure.

absolutely. heard this song about a year ago and easily ranks in my top ten.
..
but the song that CHANGED my life is easily The Artist In the Ambulance by Thrice. The second verse is my versions of the ten commandments.

Agreed--I had heard of them before and had listened to a few of their cds, but nothing really 'clicked' (if that makes any sense) with them for me until I heard 'MakeDamnSure'--the song just rocks and says some of the things I would really like to say to a few people...oh and it's one of my favorite songs to karaoke too as well.

I have to credit songs from early in the Beatles catalog as changing my life as they were the first band I can remember falling in love with. My Dad used to play them for me constantly when I was young.
Later an introduction to The Get Up Kids, Death Cab, Thursday, From Autumn to Ashes, and Poison the Well got me into emo/indie and metalcore/hardcore which definitely changed my life as it would lead to me jumping in a van and touring.

"Ex-Miss" by NFG
"Going Away To College" by Blink
"First Date" by Blink
"Sincerely Me" by NFG
All these songs were on a mix CD a buddy of mine burned for me (back in the Walk Man and CD player days haha). Those songs got me into NFG and Blink, which got me into pop punk, etc.

i had been into music for a good 3 to 4 years, saw them live as an opener, had no clue who they were, and their energy/performance/music blew me away. immediately picked up the [A->B] Life album after their set, and never looked back.
favorite band of all time.

I'm pretty much going to be singing every word at that show. Pretty sure that I know that album by heart. It's kind of funny, because this is also my 10th anniversary of me seeing them for the first time. It was just around this time. Anyways, I'm rambling, but have fun man!
And sweet avatar by the way. Gotta love Frank.
