So I'm pretty positive I'm the only person in the continental U.S. under 40 who would list Dan Fogelberg as a favorite artist, but I'd love for someone to prove me wrong. Hence, thread. Any fans out there?

I don't know if I would list him as one of my favorites, but I definitely like him. Grew up with a lot of music like that, The Innocent Age pretty much WAS my childhood lol that along with other 70s music like Joni Mitchell, James Taylor, Yes, Elvis Costello, CSNY, what have you

I love The Innocent Age, but my personal favorite will always be Nether Lands. So good.

"Illinois" is such a pretty song. I can relate to where he was when he wrote that song.

As you can see, I'm well over 40, but I have three children under 40, all of whom claim Fogelberg as their favorite. There is another child, age 29, who has other favorites. We need to check her genes.
You are to be congratulated on your excellent taste in music.

Hate to think, as a Dan Fogelberg fan-that you would believe no one else could be too?!! My Gosh--this guy is a legend and has an incredible fan base still--I still miss him terribly since his passing. The world lost a beautiful talent when he passed away.... I have LOVED his music for over 30 years and he has been and will always be my most favorite artist!! No other music makes me feel the way I do when I listen to Dan's music. Though I do enjoy Josh Groban's voice and most of Lady Antebellum's songs. Dan was an amazing songwriter-his song lyrics are so insightful and the melodies are melodic and well-layered... and his voice is just so pleasant to listen to. My fav album, probably The Innocent Age--but then every single album has excellent songs--so it really is hard to pick a favorite!!! Dan was so misrepresented when he was labelled as a "soft balladeer"--in fact those most popular songs really dont even represent the best the man created. I feel blessed that I found Dan's music way back when, listened more deeply and fell in love with his music when initially it was his looks that grabbed my attention as Dan was one handsome man!!! I have a Ipod dedicated specifically to his music and I listen almost every single day and still am amazed at his talents--I never, ever tire from listeing as Dan did so many genre of music and still can say --I am never, ever tired of listening!!!!
