They are really intense live. Except when they preach, it gets really old. Great dudes as well.

I would go, but the Florida date is too far away from me to go. oh well.

Might try to hit up the Orlando date. I was so close to seeing WOP on Summer Slaughter this year, but they canceled the date I was going to, so if I go to this tour, I'll FINALLY get to see them. Not to mention that I like every other band playing as well. For Today I could do without though only because I hear they preach A LOT.

For Today does preach, a lot. Beware, although they do play a really intense set, its worth your time.

As long as they played Agape, I could care less how much they preached, haha.

Well, at least that gets everyone pumped up for that song. I know that's the song I'd go craziest for.

I know they played it at every show basically before Portraits came out. I haven't seen them play it since, although, i don't remember if they played it at cornerstone. I think you'd need to see them on a headline run to see it.

most of their sets are like this

Saul of Tarsis (the messenger)
Infantry
Joel (the watchman)
Redemption or Immanuel(the redeemer)
Isaiah(the willing)
Agape

I'd catch them headline only if it was really close to me.

yeahh, their shows in general are always completely worth it. they absolutely kill it live. sure matty kinda preaches alot, but he's a very very christian person and likes his message known.

I would love to see them, but all of their shows are so far away from where I live. I'm gonna try to have my friends book them for our local venue when they get off this tour.

okay i went to the show at emos

winds of plague played five new songs and then five old songs. they played Earth as the intro and this may be out of order but i think it went into Chest & Horns(with hella fog and lights and shit it was purty bad a), then Soldiers of Doomsday, Approach the Podium, Creed of Tyrants then Our Requiem. There was a fight and they took a couple minute break then they came back with Decimate the Weak, The Impaler, and then Dead on the Dance Floor and some shit like that, im not too familiar with that CD but for whoever it is, it was some songs with a shitload of breakdowns and they finished a lot stronger than they started. I thought they would have played Classic Battle but they didnt so I was kinda WTF.

Despised Icon no idea not a fan but they closed with that song MVP and the vocalist from Stray From the Path and Frank from TWWK were on stage for the final breakdown so that was cool. If you havent heard Franks vocals live he is nasty, especially on lows. There was a point where everyone else stopped and just he was doing the vocals on that last part. He basically upstaged them.

Stray From the Path set list posted above is pretty much accurate. They threw down.

For Today was awesome but yes you do have to listen to a few minutes of preaching. Theyre cool about it tho. They played all songs from Portraits(idk the names of the songs i just know how they go cuz my gf listens to that cd a lot) and they closed with Agape and it was fuckin crunk there were a lot of fans there so the gang vocals were awesome.

The World We Knew is the shit. I think theyre set was something like King of the Ring, Hellbound, Set Your Sights, Deathroll and closed with To The Wolves. and franks vocals are the shit.

Never really saw the appeal of Winds of Plague to be honest. I'd only go to this for Despised Icon, however due to this being in a bad neighborhood in St. Louis, I will not be present.

Winds of Plague really comes alive live, Johnny's entire vision for WOP is heavily influenced by Lord of The Rings, he's a pretty chill dude to talk with, he didnt really hit it quite right with Decimate, but Great Stone War was really what he was trying to accomplish.

I never really listened to Great Stone War, I've only really listened to Decimate to which I enjoyed for the most part. I guess I'll have to give GSW a listen then.

This is their opener; user has most of the set filmed in this quality, turn it up to hear the intro, "Earth" kicked into "Chest and Horns"

Despised Icon setlist in order, 30 mins

i did not see Despised Icon hats for sale, but then again I didnt take a very close look at their table.

i bought Great Stone War when it came out and it has some good songs but I just cant really get into it. I will say that the crowd was WAY more into the old songs they played, which may just have to do with the fact that it was very breakdown heavy. I mean at least they do what they want to do musically though. I'll be interested to hear what their 3rd album will sound like because they could probably sell a lot more records if they struck a balance between Great Stone War and Decimate the Weak.
