I just got this in the mail today. Fucking fantastic. Only listened to it once so far, but it definitely made its mark, and I know I'll listen to this many more times before the year is over. A lot of it sounds like it could have been on the second half of The Resignation. Very different and definitely not for everyone, but I love it.

Anyone else get this yet?

It seems to be stuck in the middle of Progress and The Resignation and none of the songs stuck at ALL after 3 listens. I'm really bummed out and of course I'll keep trying, but I can't help but feel dissapointed. I don't think it made a mark at all, and I don't feel they progressed their sound adequetely.

fair points, i still haven't heard the disk yet
but you raised the point of saying you didn't think they had progressed their sound much & i think after progressing so much on every single album so far, i'm not sure there's much more progressing of their sound to do, unless they go in a completely new & different direction, if ya know what i mean

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS "NOT MUCH MORE PROGRESSING LEFT TO DO!" Common now!

The new cd is disappointing, BUT STILL GOOD! The mixing is poorly done. Vocals and guitars are turned to low in some songs, drums (obviously Christopher is amazing) don't have a good "warm" sound. sound kind of dinky.

BUT DONT GET MY CRITIQUING WRONG: I LOVE RX BANDITS. A Cd that all Fans must own, with their technical "break-downs" (which almost sounds MARS VOLTA-ish), catchy melodies/lyrics/harmonies, etc. still is a MUST.

woo woo easy, all i was saying is that these boys have progressed their sound like no other on every single disk they've put out, just because they haven't progressed to that extent on this one is not a reason to criticize it

I have hated 9/10 of the albums that have came out this year, but this is a breath of fresh air to me. A truly great album that I am enjoying. Am I the only one hearing The Police on some songs?

Give this album a chance. For those of you who fell in love with the resignation, I feel you just might need to give this one time. It's NOT the resignation, but after a few listens, it really is equally amazing. I love those bandits :)

I have to agree with Scott; this release seems as though it's an interim between past releases. I expected to see more growth on this album; they've pushed the limits of their sound before. It's not a bad album, it just doesn't have lasting value at this point. I'll give it more time, though. :)

Scott, do you (or anyone on AP.net that you're aware of) plan on reviewing this album?
