I got it... I pre-ordered it and it showed up on Saturday.
Lostprophets are one of my favorite bands so I might be biased, but I think the record is absolutely amazing.
Don't expect it to sound anything like "Start Something", it doesn't in the least except for the single. But it's awesome nonetheless.

I heard it was inferior to their past efforts. I don't want to get your hopes up though. It seems that you like them.

After listening to it a few times I can't decide whether or not I like as much as their previous work. There are moments when I love it and moments when I don't understand how I could like this band so much.

i dont like it at all. dont know if they're trying too much or what, but its much worse than start something.

ya know, i love everything they do, but it seems like they are trying hard to become the next Linkin Park (without the rapping)

Back in the FSOP days, I would agree with that statement.
This new record is more dance/indie than nu-metal.

I know what you mean, but thats not what i was getting at. I mean in the sense that every song by LInkin Park was made to be possibly a single and the fact that they sold 10 millions copys of Hybrid Theory. It seems like LPS past 2 records have been single heavy and that they want ALOT of success

I can see your point. But I would almost think if that was what they were going for, they would have stuck to what was already successful sound-wise, and not completely alter their sound on every record. Alienating fans you already have (as both Start Something and quite possibly this record have done) would hurt sales, wouldn't it?
That's just my take on it anyway. All Linkin Park songs sound the same to me.

I saw the video for their new single today on Fuse, Rooftops and holy shit does that song suck. They look ridiculous as well but the song was just so bad I couldn't believe it. I liked Start Something too but its looking like this record is going to suck.

Why does everybody think it's so easy to write a hit single? This is an awesome record and much respect goes out to a band that has the balls to write and play what they want. Apparently the UK understands that, as "Liberation Transmission" is currently No. 1 on the charts. So now some people will say that reinforces the idea that this band sold out. Again, how do you sell out? How do you know that what you're writing will be liked by the masses? The answer is, you don't? If they were sellouts, they would have taken the safe route and written material that took off where "Start Something" left off. That would have been the safe thing to do.

firstly- the lost prophets will never be linkin park-FACT!
the fact of the matter is the lost prophets are a brilliant band...but are shit at reinventing themselves...TFSOP and Start Something were kinda rockier then Liberation Transmittion. i dont think the albums bad in fact i quite like it.. but it isnt the 'usual' prophets sound...thats why people are slagging it down...but there are obvious reasons their sound has changed a bit...
-they have grown up! they have different things to write about now..
-they are trying to keep up with fashion and SELL RECORDS (after all thats what they do for a living!)...i hate emo being known as a fashion but the fact is that people are emo because they think its 'cool'. im not saying that the lost prophets are emo (which they deny!!!) but the point is they look it and sound it so it is bound to get confused, thus making them popular with the wannabes.
basically- they are a band getting payed millions to do what they do..if you dont like the album dont slag it off....mainly because until you have a record deal ...YOU CANT DO BETTER!!!!

TFSOP is a masterpiece in my eyes. Start Something was a revolution in my eyes. Lib Tran is just pretty good to me. (sorry for sounding so corny with the first 2)
