I'm sure this thread already exists somewhere but I went back a few pages and couldn't find it, so I'm making a new one.
Here's my short list. There's a bunch I didn't have room for that I really like but don't love (Grizzly Bear, Mastodon), and there's some that I really like but didn't realize came out in 2009 or don't listen to anymore, so those aren't included either. So, here's my ten, what are yours?
10) Converge - Axe to Fall
9) Zoot Woman - Things Are What They Used to Be
8) Yeah Yeah Yeahs - It's Blitz!
7) The XX - XX
6) Mew - No More Stories are Told Today, I'm Sorry They Washed Away
5) Delorean - Ayrton Senna EP
4) Manchester Orchestra - Mean Everything to Nothing
3) Mumford and Sons - Sigh No More
2) Passion Pit - Manners
1) Phoenix - Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix

Man we definitely shouldn't talk about ideas that have already been discussed. Can you enlighten the rest of us with some of your genius originality please?
Nobody makes you read anything you don't want to. I personally like reading people's year end lists because I can find new music that I maybe overlooked throughout the year.

Out of the (probably around 15) threads this year regarding this exact topic, most or all ask or tell people to post their list in the comments. Why you feel it necessary to create your own thread and subject ap.net to your own personal list apart from those 15 threads is beyond me.

I wake up in a room and realise I'm insane again; this is the fifth time straight in the year I've ended up in here eating PBJ's and watching the church channel nightly.

Such a gorgeous record. I was supposed to see them at CMJ with my brother this fall but I skipped it in order to see a friend's band. The next day my brother played the record for me and I was so bummed that I didn't go. Totally blew it! Now that they've got a legit US label though I'm hoping they'll be back again soon.

Do you see that "Search This Forum" option to the right, below "Welcome, [your username]" and across from (and slightly below) "Create a Thread"? It's typically a good tool for trying to find threads that might have already been made. If you make a thread that has been done before, especially something this common, people will usually make fun of you for it more than they'll partake in the discussion, so at least attempting a search is likely a good idea.
