what program do you use to listen to music on your computer?
didn't include windows media player or real player because those are more for videos than for music, imo.

I hate how cumbersome itunes is but I use it, and will use it till something else comes along. Used winamp primarily for 7+ years though.

Man, I used to be such a Winamp fanboy. Now I've been merging to Foobar2000 and digging its features that Winamp doesn't have.
I use them both now, eventually going to be completely FB2K.

Don't use my iPod much to transfer formats to iTunes and my off-brand shuffle plays most music files.

I've never tried any others. iTunes is easy though, I hate when people leave their files ridiculously large when I download them.

iTunes. I love genius.
Really? I find Genius very irritating with the constant updating, mainly because I don't like listening to different bands of one genre all at once. Actually, if anyone here knows how to deactivate it completely, I would love to have that information.

I only use it when I can't decide what to listen to. Shuffle sucked for that 'cause once I found the type of something I felt like listening to, it would change to something else. With Genius you pick one song that you kinda feel like hearing and then it'll find a bunch more that compliment it. Different strokes, I guess.
What's the constant updating about? Is that in the sidebar? Choosing "Store" from the top menu, then "Turn Off Genius" should fix it?

Yeah my computer's really bogged down from all the torrents I download, so 50% of the time when I opened Itunes and Genius tried to gather information from my library, it would tie up my computer for a good 15 minutes. So I began x-ing out whenever it started, but that was annoying.
Haha I can't believe it was right under the "Store" tab. You have no idea how long I was looking for that. Thanks for the help.

i use Windows Media Player because it works best with my Creative Zen player.
Zen >>>>>>>>>>> Ipod.
I've had it for 2.5 years and it's never froze or broke like many of my friends Ipods. Also, it plays video and it was only 200.
