Stereogum (http://www.stereogum.com/archives/002756.html) has noted that according to a Filter Magazine interview, Sufjan Stevens (http://www.absolutepunk.net/sufjan) has picked the next state for his new album. Will he tell us though? No.
FILTER: Do you have a plan as to where you want to go next with the state project?
SUFJAN STEVENS: I finally do, yes. But I probably shouldn't say.

i am just getting into him now (i know, i missed the boat but it's better late than never). i ordered michigan, illinoise, and seven swans yesterday so can't wait til they come. from what i've heard so far it's quite lovely. i hope he gets to do new york...that would be awesome.

I have both state albums. Amazingggggg. I plan on picking up The Avalanche and TEN's new album on the 11th.
I've heard Rhode Island, Minnesota, and Oregon. but I guess we'll see what he does.
That Puerto Rico suggestion would be funny as hell. haha.

you took the words right out of my mouth buddy. I hope it is. It will probably be some hick state instead like Kansas.

I wanna hear Oregon, Indiana, Florida, and New York. I'd love to see a Rhode Island EP.

puerto rico = EP
would be awesome to throw in after the 50 state
i think its weird that when he's done with all of the cds, anyone who buys all of them would have spent around $750, that's crazy when you think about it, it'll be over a few years but still its crazy
it's going to be like idaho or like nebraska or some shit.

sufjan is more overated than Coner Oberst. god I hate this man and his music and people who like his music. and I like a lot of indie music

I only liked it because it had Illinois in it.

doesn't this whole concept strike anyone as being larger than sufjan could ever be? it's like buying 50 liters of milk... you may get through 4 litres... but then you've got 46 litres just rotting away. and noone wants to deal with 46 liters of rotten milk
