The Billy Talent CD is pretty awesome. I like the new LostProphets one from what I've heard off the stream, but I've been a fan of them since Shinobi vs. Dragon Ninja came out stateside.

Billy Talent will definately be at BestBuy as well as Circuit City. They were advertised in both Sunday Ads. Its on sale for $10 at BestBuy, so I'd go there, especially if you are gonna pick up Dashboard. With student id, Dashboard is $7. Its a weird deal, but a good deal.

I picked up Dashboard and think it's great. The only track that I'm really not super into just yet is "Heaven Here", which is cool 'cause from what I was hearing, I thought it'd take me more than a listen to really like the album. I got it at Target with the DVD... it's worth it. The three live performances are acoustic, but aren't just Chris... it's him, Johnny Lefler, John Ralston all singing and playing guitar with the girl they just added to the band on violin and vocals. Really beautiful.

Maybe everyone already downloaded Catch 22 and know about it, but I have dialup and thus had the misfortune of buying this release on the faith that it would be in at least the same league as Alone In A Crowd.

Boy was I wrong! It's just SO BAD, it makes me really sad. WTF is up with the new vocal style?

I also bought Dashboard today and like it, it's different and chill but it's still cool.

My third and final purchase was Underoath's latest album. I have never heard these guys before, but this is a really cool CD so far!

The Catch 22 album is pretty mediocre. So is BNO's DVD.

The Distance's album is mostly terrible nu-emo, which means you kids should like 6 of its songs. That album DEFINES "misstep."

I own Billy Talent's first album and like it, but I'm never, ever in the mood to listen to it. I also bought it as a Listening Station copy from my store for a buck. Is this new one a step up?

you know what album hasn't hit stores yet, but is now available to purchase? Sleeping at Last's "Keep No Score", the follow up to their highly acclaimed "Ghosts" album. It is now available for purchase off their website and at their shows. WHY IS THIS BAND NOT SIGNED?!?!?!? Someone should make an official post about this release. it is so good. probably my favorite album of the year so far... either that or Underoath. So far SAL's is my favorite "softer" album. And Underoath's is my favorite "harder" album. i like a wide variety of music, so it's hard for me to have a favorite cd. anyway, that's just my two cents. let's get some talk going about Sleeping at Last!

I got my copy of the new Lostprophets in the mail a few days ago, and I'm addicted to it. Very good record, although at times a little cheesy... but as a long-time fan I definitely wasn't disappointed.
