i lolled at a lot of this. anyone who thought the new strike anywhere or polar bear club were top 10 albums is a fool, and way to tack on paramore because they hauled your band around and made 13 year old girls care about you for roughly 30 minutes.

The new Strike Anywhere record is great and I listened to that and the Polar Bear Club record more than almost any record this year. So in my opinion, they were my favorite of the year.

And we've been listening to Paramore since their first album came out, and this one is their best yet so we enjoy it very much and listen to it a lot. It is a great record. The fact they asked us to tour with them was great and we took it because most bands don't get oppurtunities like that a long with the fact that we really love their band.

So with that said, MY opinion isn't wrong. I enjoy those 3 records. Thank you.

People are ignorant. Enjoy what you want to enjoy, man. Paramore's new record was great although I haven't listened to Strike Anywhere or Polar Bear Club. Should I?

Oh, and "Ups and Downsizing" was in my (personal) top 5 favorite records this year. Two bands from michigan were in it.. maybe it's because I live here haha. You guys & Every Avenue's new album I listened to a ton. Michigan pride.. even if the economy blows.

See you guys with Motion City Soundtrack January 29th at clutch cargo's... i'm so stoked!

how can you honestly say that strike anywhere record was great, especially compared to their discography? shit was a fucking snooze fest.

cool, do you write their songs now or something?

no one said your opinion was wrong, i was just commenting on how your list struck me as silly.

Yeah dude, good call. They're totally sucking up to Paramore.

In exchange for Paramore taking the swellers on tour, the swellers had to put them on their top ten lists. Think of the publicity for Paramore!!

Think of the publicity for Paramore!!

Lol, i think u need to rethink that statement.

Also theres nothing wrong with a little support from/to other bands, its a natural thing to happen in the lifecycles of bands.

Also it might be cool to mention that i doubt they were held at gunpoint(speaking figuratively) when putting paramore on the list lol

I thought Iron Front was a great combination of old Strike Anywhere with some new elements, I loved it and it made my top ten. Chasing Hamburg was a great release in my opinion too and really opened the door for PBC to do a lot, it made my top 3. And lastly, Brand New Eyes I thought was a very solid 3rd album from Paramore and made it clear they were all about the music. Clearly Paramore saw a great hardworking band with a great new release and wanted to do what they could to get it heard by whoever would listen. I don't blame them for it whatsoever, Ups & Downsizing was my number 1 and made my top 5 of all time releases to come out of Michigan. Hardworking bands tend to like other hardworking bands, which explains why The Swellers enjoyed Paramore's new album, along with Strike Anywhere, and Polar Bear Club.

yeah, completely overlook that chasing hamburg was awful, the rest of strike anywhere's discography shits all over iron front, and paramore was a manufactured band.
