Ok so I'm a big Yellowcard fan, and I know all about people quiting or getting kicked out or whatever. I read every article I found about Ben leaving, and I don't understand why people talk about how horribly he and other former band members were treated. Can someone just explain to me exactly what happened with Ben and why the rest of the band members are horrible people because apparently I missed something.

Ben woke up one day and realized "holy shit, my band is terrible, we have an awful singer, our violin player is a tool, and we write third grade lyrics for little kids and fall out boy is quickly eroding our market share."

He then tried to talk some sense into the other tools in the band, who still thought they had the greatest, most original band ever because they had an inaudible violin played by a douche who does more backflips and winking at 12 year old girls than actually playing his instrament. Said tools then kicked Ben out.

End of story, lock this thread.

Wasn't Ben supposed to tell his side of the story in like some official statement or something after the legal issues got worked out? what happened to that?

Pretty sure he did. Said that Ryan went off on his own to write the lyrics in New York and, when he came out to California, said that it was better if Ben left. Personally, Ryan made a pretty horrible decision... But that's life, you know?
