I'm surprised at how good this game turned out. It looked like a piece of shit when I first heard about it. It comes pretty close to actually playing a guitar and it incorporates hammer ons and pull offs and small things that I didn't think it would cover. That and it's fun as hell.

As much as I love nintendo, that game was not done well... Jungle Beat was, but Konga I felt was terrible. There was this one game for Ps2 called Taiko Drum Master and that was far superior even if it was a little gayer. I dunno, I just didnt feel Donkey Konga.

Bark at the Moon is the hardest song ever on this game.. Although some of the bonus songs are hard as shit too. I got pretty good at some of the metal songs, but the Stevie Ray Vaughn song is the one I'm the best at...

This game rules. The second will feature 55 different songs and free play mode will include the option to play lead, rhythm, or bass guitar. The single player career mode will probably end up being more fleshed out as well. Well, I would hope so.

Actually, the real reason is that I just bought this game yesterday, I'm absolutely addicted, I can't wait for the next one, and I can't play the game right now because my wrist is actually kinda sore.

Keep in mind I'm a lefty, and doing the "lefty flip" for the controller fucks up my ability to use the whammy bar HARDCORE.

With righties, you can put your thumb on the strum bar and the other fingers on the whammy.

I have to move my hand off the strum bar, grab the whammy, and get back onto the strum bar in time to hit the next note. Totally not cool.

..This is what happens when I get 3 days of work off in a row, and my girlfriend works during those days.

Medium isn't nearly as bad as I expected it to be, it was a little weird at first but I actually find it EASIER than easy level because you're actually getting into the rhythm of the song.

I can't wait for hard/expert.

When you buy the game, you get a specialized controller, which is shaped like a Gibson SG guitar. There's 5 colored "fret" buttons: green, red, yellow, blue and orange. There's a "strum bar" located on the body of the guitar - where you'd strum. There's also a whammy bar located right by the strum bar.

Gameplay: You choose the song, and the notes scroll toward you on your screen. Each note appears as a little circleish thing, and is color coordinated with the note you have to play. The higher the difficulty, the more notes (and chords) come towards you. Also as you step up the difficulty, you use more of the frets. Easy is only 3 frets, Medium is 4, Hard and Expert are 5

I have five stars on all the songs except the top group of songs, i think i have a five on texas flood and threes and fours on everything else. I am up to Frankenstein on expert and I can't get past the part after the drum solo. Even with a full star power bar. Its just freaking insane. And for the record I think that Cowboys From Hell is the hardest song on the game. I always have more trouble getting through that then Bark At The Moon. And I can't wait for GH2 either. It had better have some Pink Floyd on it, hopefully Comfortably Numb.
