How likely is that to happen? I'd imagine that might agitate coaches and/or players to have to play a conference rivalry game on outdoor ice.

That's the hurdle - last I remember the WCHA wasn't too keen about having a conference game played outdoor [although I believe that's what the Cold War did and am unsure about the BC-BU game following this one] and put the kibosh on it. They could do a non-conference game like many of the ECAC teams do when they can't find opponents for one game, but my guess is this gets through down the line with a successful Wild Winter Classic bid.

I think the winter classic should be at giant stadium as opposed to yankee stadium (should it ever come to NY)

However, I would like to see a rangers/islanders game, but nobody else in the country would. The rangers would likely play in a WC should it ever come to NY, and that is quite upsetting as an islander fan. And by some miracle if it was a battle of New York, it would be the Rangers against the Devils.

I would love to go, but to be honest I'm not a huge B's fan or flyers fan-- just a hockey fan. At $250+ fees, to sit in the rain, in a stadium with subpar views, I can't justify it. I'd love to, but I can't.
