And this month marks the four year anniversary of one of the best pop-punk releases ever. Anyone want to venture a guess to what it is?

I was going to guess Tell All Your Friends or Living Well Is The Best Revenge, but those are both earlier. WHAT IS IT?!!?

July 16th, 2002. Appreciate this, my favorite summer record ever and one of the three or five best pop-punk releases all-time.

I was surprised someone didn't get it right off. That summer was so good for pop-punk:
Midtown - Living Well...
TSL - Say It Like You Mean It
Home*Grown - Kings of Pop
New Found Glory - Sticks and Stones

I love SILYMI. I love BOATS too. I am really hoping that they get a CD out this year but I'm not getting my hopes up too high.

I remember when this came out because my friend bought it and we listened to it and something corporate's leaving through the window on the way back.

Ahh, that was the other big DTR release I was trying to think of. I was thinking pop-punk last night and they're more piano rock, but that was another great summer '02 CD.

yeah, it's my favorite drive thru release, but the starting line remind me of the first couple years of high school where all my friends loved pop punk before they all went off to college and got into shitty southern rock and country.

I don't know which one I'd take between Say It Like You Mean It and Leaving Through the Window. That's a toss-up.
I guess I would say: SILYMI > LTTW > Living Well... > Kings of Pop > Sticks and Stones. I love all five of those.

I can still remember my girlfriend at the time and I driving to the record store to pick this up. It was like 95 degrees. Oddly enough, it's about 95 today.
I remember the day I bought that. I also put some new speakers in the back of my car that day and it sounded so good. What a great summer. I think Finch came out that spring too.
