Hey, I live in Sterling Heights (metro detroit area) and my favorite CD store went out of business at the end of 2009. Since it's basically the only one I ever went to, I don't know any other places to check out.

Does anyone have a favorite place they'd be willing to share?

Rockabillys in Utica. It was a ticket vendor too, which was awesome, because I try avoid the ticketmaster scam.

Ahhhh! Rock-A-Billy's went out of business? I was hoping you were talking about a different place.

That's horrible. I wish I went there a bit more.

Desirable Discs was always my favorite when I lived up there, but they all closed up a few years back. After that, I started going to Dearborn Music, and I always thought that was a pretty good place.

I really don't know of too many good stores around there anymore. There used to be Hot Hits and Record Time in Roseville. I think RT might still be open but I believe Hot Hits went under years back. Rockabilly's was a sweet place. My band played there once back in 2004 or 2005. Cool little Record Store.
