Both Ecco 1 and 2 for Sega Genesis are such amazing games, but also soo freaking difficult at times. I remember as a kid getting so frustrated with that damn dolphin, but continuing to play it anyway; beating both (swt bragz). I've since played it again, and I can't believe I ever sat through those games enough to beat them...

Thoughts on Ecco?

damn man, I had enough trouble with that game...even with the cheats

that game was brutal

It had some seriously fucked up creatures too, maybe that's where my fear of sea creatures developed

I kid you not when you get to the level with the octopus (that slaps you thus making cute little Ecco scream in pain) it was so horrifying that to this day at 22 years old I fear it, and most sea creatures. We are pussies.

Haha I have the "Ecco: Songs of Time" soundtrack on my computer; I don't care how geeky that is, I love it.

And Wave Race 64 also ruled.

I used to have it for the PS2. Had no idea how to play it though. Made very little progress in the storyline and spent most of my time swimming into things.

I don't think I ever beat the first level of it when I was younger. I don't even remember knowing what the fuck I was supposed to do.

Yeah - I had absolutely no idea what to do. I basically used it as a dolphin sim and just swam around and jumped out of the water and stuff. Never made it past the first level or whatever.
