EITS > any instrumental band.
Yeah, you basically deserve do die for saying that (not really).
Seriously though, they are really good, but they are one of the worst popular bands of the genre. So overrated, and so many better artists get looked over.
Anyways, I haven't streamed this yet, but I'm expecting it to be pretty good.

it was released as part of the 'travels in constants' series which is a subscription service.
its a really good cd, track 2 and 5 are my favorite.
as i understand it, they wrote and recorded a new song each day, and spent the next few weeks mixing it all, this is thier first attempt at mixing a record on thier own.

untrue. godspeed is better.
not in my opinion, godspeed gets boring at times because they have so much silence, or one note being plucked, and then they're much to political for my tastes.

EITS > any instrumental band.
I consider godspeed better, but that's arguable. I find m83 more enjoyable, but i'm not sure anyone but me would consider them instrumental.

untrue. godspeed is better.
Untrue. Godspeed is good, but too overrated i believe. Too many spaces without sound in my opinion.
i can't find where to download it. help? anyone?
If I remember correctly click in in the albums section of the site, the mp3s should be there.

back it up.

i just listened to the entire godspeed discography the other day for the first time, and this is the one reason that would keep me away from it. damn near 20 minute songs with 13 of actual music and sounds. it drags on, and is too pretentious for my taste. im not saying they suck, because they are good, just overrated.
i think that EITS do the best job of conveying emotion through their instruments, over any other instrumental band. every song feels fulfilling to listen to.

I think Godspeed are better, Eits are too straightforward and simplistic for my tastes. Plus, the peaks in Godspeed are actually glorious. Listen to "Slow Riot for New Zero Kanada", in my opinion the most beautiful 30 minutes of music ever to exist.
Other similar bands, since people were asking:
Magyar Posse, Mountain Men Anonymous, Mono and Mogwai (obviously), This Will Destroy You, Caspian, This is Your Captain Speaking, This is A Process of a Still Life, te', The Timeout Drawer, UpcDowncLeftcRightCABC+start, We're From Japan, The Workhouse, World's End Girlfriend, Youth Pictures of Florence Henderson, The Seven Mile Journey, As The Poets Affirm, 1 Mile North, A Northern Chorus, Audrey, Laura, September Malevolence, Clogs, CtrlAltDelete, Dirty Three, Do Make Say Think, Don't Look Back, EF, Efterklang, The Evpatoria Report, From Monument to Masses, God is An Astronaut, Grails, Gregor Samsa, Jeniferever, Saxon Shore, Joy Wants Eternity, Yndi Halda, Meanwhile Back in Communist Russia..., The Sea, Like Lead.
That should do for now. The ones most like Eits would probably be This will Destroy You, Caspian, Saxon Shore and uhh Mono maybe.

I don't really like MBICR that much. But yeah, go listen to pretty much all those bands listed.
And oh yeah, m83 isn't instrumental considering how there is singing on pretty much every song on his most recent album.
