This is how really cheesy pop-punk should sound. It's so bad, yet so good at the same time. Hahahah. I'm ashamed for liking it.

I feel the same way.
I remember "Definitely Maybe" was a slight hit here a few years back, and man...I really liked it, but didn't want to say anything because Simple Plan was big at the time, and I hated them.

i can't wait for this sophomore cd. as they said on their purevolume :
"no pressure, just fun. Unabashed, summertime, walk-in-the-park, roll-down-your-windows-on-a-road trip kinda fun. No worries. No posing. No pretense. No problem."
i really liked the first cd. I'm just disappointed the new cd only includes 10 tracks. i'm sick of those 10 tracks cds.
New Album, "Critically Ashamed" In Stores August 1st!

I liked their first CD though most of the songs felt like awkward high school pop songs, so I kinda lost interest in it. Much like their pop counterpart Hawk Nelson. It's fun, but how long will it stay in your CD player? Their best song was the secret track on their last CD, I hope they do more like that and do a sparse selection of 'catchy chorus' pop songs. Just me.

The sad fact is - that's the title has already been used by MxPx - and it was lame back then...

I think Trevor McNevan likes to rotate between the two bands. TFK put out a CD last summer so now it's FM Statics turn. I like the 2 seperate band thing...it'd be weird for TFK to have songs with these lyrics...Oh and I'm liking this new song.

i think you are write. i do not think Trevor could write the same type of music for TFK as he does this. the sound is very different and when put with lyrics it only sounds good on the music it is with already. i guess he just has different perspectives on the music of each band.

why do people say they hate the fact that they like this band? if you like an artist or different type of music there no reason to be ashamed of it. i love this band and cant wait to go drive blasting this cd with my windows down i dont care who hears me..

I'm going into this CD with lowered expectations. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate or even dislike FM Static. It's just that I absolutely loved What Are You Waiting For? That was a great pop-punk CD. Catchy as hell. The kind of songs you couldn't pry from your brain with a crowbar. That being said, this song isn't bad. The faster parts of the song sound like "Party Song" by Blink. Of course, I was a huge Blink fan from middle school through high school so I don't mind too much.
