I figured I needed somewhere to post, so I'll start a thread here so I can post it and others can share their experiences if they feel like it, too.

I just went through a really unfair situation in my English class. It was a reflection essay that we had to do on a story the class was assigned to read. I read the book, and wrote 5-6 intelligent paragraphs analyzing and summarizing the book. A couple of days later, we get the papers back, and I'm talking to a friend about it. We're talking about the paper and I say something along the lines of, "I worked on this for forty-five minutes last night figuring out all the symbolism and shit, and I get a B on this." My friend replies, "I saw this movie last night, and for this paper I wrote about the movie, except I used the characters' names from the book, and I got a B."

Just felt like that was a really unprofessional and unfair move by my English teacher.

Well, was the movie all that different from the book? Did the teacher know this kid only watched the movie? I mean, I'm not unsure how unfair that is, just learn to cheat well/better..

back in year 8, i did 112 calculus questions, and got them all right. my maths teacher decided he didn't like the method i used, and made me do them all again and hand them in the next morning. the year after, he taught us a new method of doing those sorts of questions, and he told us only to use this method. it was the same method i had originally used. what a dick.

Last year in English class, we had to write informative essays. On a topic. I did Mozilla Firefox.
So I wrote mine and turned it in. I guess I did something wrong, I don't know. I never understood why. She made me redo the whole fucking thing. I wrote 2 essays while everyone else had to do 1.
My second one was about Prince, the musician.

its probably two wrong but if you have to pick one, read the college story

couple things

high school:
i got suspended a day for pantsing my friend/teammate after practice in the cafeteria and his sister was with us and saw and because she is a girl i got in trouble for it. but the girls soccer team (who won 6 state championships out of 7 years and get treated like royalty) do that shit to each other all the time in front of everyone, which i tried to explain (not trying to be a rat but at least trying to say its not just me) so anyway one of the teachers that tried to get me kicked out was walking down the hall when a girl lifts up another girls skirt in front of everyone, the teacher just walked by so i went apeshit on her and asked if she saw that shit that just happened and why they arent in trouble for it, and basically got a laugh out of her, fucking bitch...

in college:
this past semester i had a class for my major (accounting) im a decent student, the first test i got a 79 but that is because for the first time in college (2nd time in my life) i left an entire page blank by complete accident when i moved on to another section of the test so that was 12 points i left blank. then i contracted mono but didnt know it, i just thought i was really sick, i went home, missed class, emailed the prof but she made me come back to school to take the test (i was sent home on a tuesday but left on a friday morning because i had to register for class thursday morning and wanted to try and get what i needed to kno for the test before i went home). so i took the test on a monday, find out on tuesday that i had mono (took a blood test when i was home) then on wed she is like i have the tests but im waiting for the people who still have to take the makeups to take them. i am furious. her policy is any makeup test is a cumulative test (meaning dont miss a test or your fucked because everything will be on it- no exceptions) little did i know the school waived that policy because everyone was getting sick from swine flu, or other things like my mono. so i ask her what the deal was and why i wasnt offered a NONcumulative makeup which i would have gladly taken and stayed home a couple more days recovering. she basically gives me bs on how i cant have extra credit and im stuck w the grade i got, she never gave me a straight answer. anyway the project was 10 percent of the grade and i got a 90. so at this point i have a 79, a 60 on the second test that i bombed with mono, and a 90 on a project. all that is left is the final, i studied my nuts off and got an 85 while all my friends got in the 60s and i got the C that i needed to move onto part 2 of the class, taught by her...

Being Home schooled is the most unfair thing thats happened to me in school.

I mean education wise it's a lot better. but I didn't have a choice because I was in first grade when they decided.

But later on down the road I would have liked to at least had a choice.

got expelled for something i didn't do.
got suspended for a week when school rules only called for detention.
had a teacher tell my friends to not hang out with me.
repeatedly sent to the back of the lunch line for cutting in line when i hadn't.....finally told the vice principal off for it and while not officially expelled i was told not to come back for the rest of the year.

i've had trouble with sleep since puberty hit so i took a lot of unwarranted flack from teachers who assumed i was a stoner/bad influence on others.

9th grade math teacher failed me across the board second semester causing me to fail 9th grade entirely. he decided to do this after i questioned his seating chart. girls who normally wore skirts, and had larger chests in the front, all other girls after that, then guys in the back of the room. i ended up having to go to summer school (wasting my 9th to 10th grade summer) retaking math. ended up scoring 130% (extra credit would be the other 30%) seeing as i knew the math during the year the teacher just bombed me on purpose. anyway, i argued with my father, and principle about the teachers behavior towards guys and girls. obviously they didn't believe me. fast forward to me walking out of a college class and receiving a phone call from my father apologizing for not believing me back then as he was just finding out the teacher had been fired for sexual harrassment and numerous complaints that went unfiled (apparently) for years (dating back before i went to the high school). that was a nice phone call.

Not related to academics, but when I was a freshman I signed up for the dance team. Despite out academic standards, we have one of the best ones in Jakarta and since I used to do dance in elementary school I signed up. It was fucking draining and the girls in my grade (cadets) were bitchy and fake as hell. I spent more than half the year concentrating on it and then during the inaugration where we were initially told that everyone who didn't quit in the process will make it in, they didn't let me in. A few weeks later I quit.
